You don't have to agree or disagree with anyone else JUST BE POLITE

You also need to remember that there are people on this board who know very little about "BITE WORK" and think what you are doing is how it should be done and not realize the problems that it will bring.

Dogs without any controls be it in any situation generally wind up in the Kill shelter because it hurt another living being/creature.

You live where a dog can maul anyone or thing I guess and the law does not care but most of us don't and want our dogs under control.

Then there are some who think a dog out of control makes them look tougher and then they add rudeness and foul language to try and fool others that they are not all that small and weak.

Members are just trying to educate those who may follow in your steps for the wrong reasons

I don't agree, the working/sporting forum here is almost dead, the shrill outbursts by people like blitz are why.

Some people have a working breed of dog and work them, others spend 30 years in the same breed to make Fifi for pet homes.

Why should the whiney shrill members be the only voice for the breed here.

I don't think I EVER said you could not speak or state your points I did say You Had to be POLITE

I never said you had to agree with the others and you could state you points and reason Just be POLITE

I tried to show you why they point out that control it needed. I belong to a club that will not allow anyone to come and just do bite work if they are inexperienced.

All dogs must be under control for the safety of all everywhere in this New World of thinking

We have those who think they are Badasses who teach their dog to bite and chase everything they think they are really tough until the dog bites and kills a child and the dog is put down

Nowhere did I say you had to agree or train differently just why it might be a good idea to have control

Everyone has a voice but let's hope it makes sense. And what is said will educate others. Many good dogs get put down because of irresponsible owners with loads of imagination and no respect for the dog and what he installs a lot of the time bad training is irreversible. If you want a pp dog learn to control it first good obidence is the difference between someone getting hurt or worse. A hard dog is a cam dog. And a good owner is responsible.

I've seen more than one dog put down because it had an owner who had no actual control over the dog. Out of control dogs are of absolutely no use to anyone and are actually not at all hard to find.  They are everywhere; there are literally hundreds of them sitting in shelters right now.

Sign me one of those shrill whiney owners who doesn't want to see the reputation of the GSD suffer anymore than it already has due to irresponsible owners and "trainers".

With all due respect, I didn't realize mods were here to tell members who bother to post videos ( a rare ocurrance these days) how to train their dogs.
These videos vk is posting are not supposed to be 'how to train yr dog', he'd sell them instead of putting them up free if they were tutorials. If there is fear someone is going to copy everybody posting bite work, maybe only sport hold and bark should be allowed...that's a pretty benign behavior----when its finished. Vk4gsd has posted videos of him doing obedience with his dog, off lead, and that dog does as good of obedience as any sch obedience. He does NOT have full time access to a decoy like the one in the video, so he is using him as much as he can while the man is in his country, if I'm not mistaken. The video only shows a tiny bit of the work, the part vk thought would show the new stuff he's working on, which is the leg bite.... Pretty sure vk is not going to waste his internet time ( whatever its called) uploading a bunch of stuff not pertinent to what his purpose was for the video.
I really don't think he deserves the criticism he's getting for his dog work. Vk is learning as he goes, bite sport is very restricted where he lives. He has come a long way...instead of a sled dog harness, he bought an agitation harness. Instead of a raggedy old rope, he now has a real long line. He even puts his dog on the back tie, instead of allowing the dog to be in control. Some people enjoy working their dogs, even though they don't have the luxury of a neighborhood club. In fact, he drove to a club, that was a halfday/ all night trip and he didn't get home till daylight the next day....how many people on here have to drive that far and for that many hours to club? And that was after the dog worked on the job before leaving for the long trip to club. That dog of his has the natural ability and nerve strength to be the protection dog he is, a trait that political correctness is smothering out of the breed. 'D' is not going to kill any kid while Pete is at the wheelhouse.
