US: nervy = ballsy .
GB: nervy= nervous.
Sharp: EU and US= alert, aware, smart ( sharp as a tack)
Sharp Czech: since we read description of dogs from Czech there it means very and decisively protective and aggressive and very alert not missing anything as far as protection goes. Non can sneak up on him .
Sharp: US= Over reactive with low threshold.

I think in the US nervy = nerve bag. Like...an unstable dog. Socially and during the work. I don't think any of us would want a nervy dog in the sense that it is used in the US.

Other definitions are pretty agreeable. Rarely do I hear "sharp" used in the US though. But I consider a sharp dog one that does have a low threshold.

"BM this is why I explained a solid nerve dog will be super police dog because he waited for comand. We're a nervy dog will do home family pp. Just because he is nervy doesn't mean he is not stable a nervy dog can be very balanced if brought up correctly iv have done crowe'd control pp and home protection and never once has he ever turned on me the handler. Different dogs for different jobs . Nervy does not mean week nerve. If anything it could be looked at the opposite way a dog that determines trouble and will work on his own to me is a strong dog not needing the back up of the handler . Most of those so called solid dogs would not know how to handle a suitation without the handler. Iv seen it many a time stranger wakes in the garden and not a sound out of the dog because he has not been told thatshe a bad man and that where a little nervy is needed."~ yogi

This is describes the dog I like and own for myself.

I ve read where it was mentioned that Francesco Anrebri was nervy, but he brings a lot of power to his work.

See Joan most people who work dogs take them from a sports background. There breed from a dog who is generally well able to be handled show very little aggressive behaviour so they are easily handled ipo has no real aggression so to make a civil dog takes a long time and work to turn them . But let's call it a sharp dog all ready has civil mind already weary doesn't like people in it space the u add control social boundaries environmen soundness I know witch one I'd wan to protect me the one with natural genetics and abilities. Most people can't handle a dog like that .as I said start properly finish correctly
