Hi, I was wondering how much is a dog worth if it has an ok pedigree and has a BH or an IGP 1? Also would I be able to make a business from titling dogs and then selling them? Thanks.

Depending on the age & location of the dog.

Do you mean a training business? You can. I did it for fifteen years. People would send me their dogs and I'd train in them either: obedience, tracking, protection, SAR, cadaver, narc/explosive detection, medical detection, or hunting. It would depend on their age and background, plus, if they could pass certain criteria, I had for each of these areas.

hard world to break into. need an existing resume', passed or current clients (even if its just your own), track record, money to travel. Tons of competition, willing to starve while you get there.
As Diamondgal said EXPERIENCE

As others have said not easy to get into. But yes its possible to make a business out of it. You need years of experience, contacts in the sport, and at least some natural talent.
As far as the value of a dog titled to BH or IGP1... that is based of too many variables to list on here.
Ive seen titled dogs given away for free in certain circumstances or sold for 10K, mostly depends on who you know and your experience. Most people that do this for a living successfully have competed at multiple world championships, titled numerous dogs, have their own club(s), and trained other handlers to high level competition.
So that is what'd aim for if I wanted to make a living off titling and selling dogs.

board and train is easyer and more rewarding, putting obedience on family pets, less demanding and tons of clients
