Koots

On New Year's day, I woke up to find these beauties in my yard, and nibbling in the cedars near the house as well, lol.    Maybe it's a good omen for a better year?   Hope so, lol.

Life's a bit quieter, with lockdowns etc - the wildlife has taken advantage. Not so sure its a 'good omen' for your plants in your yard, though ! Hope you aren't a keen gardener ;D

Here's to a better year to come, and more room for, and appreciation of, the natural world.

Hund - we're lucky as elk are often in our yard, as well as deer, rabbits and turkeys as I live in a rural area near a river. What was different this time is they were nibbling on the ornamental cedars next to the house, and didn't move away when I went out onto the porch to take pics - I was only about 35 ft. from them. Also being bedded down in that spot in mid-morning was unusual. We should've planted a type of cedar shrub that they don't like, lol. Oh well, next time.  😜

Dogs like the 'licorice nibs' they leave behind, lol.

Oh dear...mine like to snack on rabbit poop and kitty turds...

When my husband and I vacationed in Banff, we saw a HUGE bull elk munching on the shrubbery in someone's front yard! The townsite is part of their calving ground, so they just wander around the town like the own it! I'm sure the gardeners hate them!

What state are you in, Koots?

Ah, the Kootenays! (British Columbia). Beautiful country!

I'm in Ontario, not far from 'Tranna'.  :D

I expect the (comparitive) lack of human hussle 'n' bustle has resulted in a calmer atmosphere which allows more relaxed animals to seem almost tame ! Whatever, they certainly made for a pretty snapshot, Koots !

Do not speak of droppings, ladies, some of the work pack where I used to be employed were devils for eating rabbit pellets, (there was a lot of land and a lot of bunnies) its a wonder the rabbits didn't starve !!! :D
