well, i know a couple of people have questioned whether do right actually made a rap cd. yes, he did. i was one of the couple of so who requested one. i am not (normally) a fan of rap. however, after listening to his cd, i found that i did enjoy tracks #1, #3, and #8.  and i also liked both versions of "eden". i really did like "up to the sky" the best. nice. will do right go on to become a (christian) rap star? heck, i don't know. i think he should see if evangelical churches would be interested. (and i am not an evangelical - i'm EPISCOPALIAN!! [yikes]). i have no reason to doubt that this is his work and i can appreciate the incentive and talent that went into this. as far as i'm concerned, this ex-marine/cop can have a good time with this and maybe go somewhere with it. boo-rah! (did i say that right? remember, i'm an episcopalian!!). you go for it do right, and don't let some people yank your chain! .........k

Thanks very much angusmom.  I did it for fun, not for fame or fortune (of which I have neither).  Just something I wanted to do before I leave.  Up to the Sky is my favorite and Eden is my second favorite, a good story but just doesn't quite really work.  I need to tweak it a little I think, but it has a really good message.  I am working on one concerning having a basketball "jones" (in the old meaning of having a habit).  There was an old time song called Basketball Jones about being addicted to basketball, but it was not a rap song.  I am doing something along those lines.  I also am writing one about mans best friend.  Gonna call it "Studs and Bitches", just to capture the younger crowds attention, but then talk about our best friends.  Hope I can get it to work well enough to do justice to our pets and companions.  The title will make it a fooler.

Funkman:  Thanks for your imput on my work.  It is always nice to get feedback on someones' artistic endeavors, especially from someone of your caliber, who knows of my work through osmosis and not through actually hearing it.  You are damn good man.  Gonna mention the Funk Man in my Studs and Bitches song.  Guess which one you will be

"Basketball Jones" was a Cheech & Chong parody of the soul music of the late '60s early '70s Maybe showing my age, but HILARIOUS

Would love to see that album cover link again, unfortunately it's broken. Perhaps you can look on it and tell the album name, recording label and group name?

A Dog:  Still searching are ya.  Here is a link for the album cover.  It is still available to see here,

The recording label is "X Records".

The group name is:  Me, myself and I, aka Built MC.

Anymore questions?

After, hmmm, let's say, one month, and you haven't found "anyone else" that has performed these songs, wrote these songs, or owns these songs, (again with the exception of the El Segundo song, which I only perform and did not write or own), would you at least come onto this thread and say that you apologize?  Or are you above that?
