Please I need clarity. This is my first time getting this confused about WUSV results.
This year we have Gero z Berounské-Basty as the WUSV IGP WC.

While Gringo vom Alten Lindenstumps as the WUSV Universal Sieger.

What's the difference? Since this is same competition.

Gero is the winner of the IGP World Championship. The dog and his handler had the highest score of the working trial, and only on the dog's performance in the working trial.

Gringo is the World Universal Sieger, which is based off of the dog's performance in the conformation ring *plus* the dog's performance in the working trial.

@hexe... Thanks for this clarity. This is honestly my first time hearing there's a disparity in the title within same competition. It's very interesting and exciting to know this.

Is this year the first time for this or it has always been done so?

I have competed in the WUSV Universal in Slovakia in 2014 the two working trials are separate trials and judged separately..
The Universal is a compilation based on a points system from their working trial and the show ring. The points are based on the dogs you beat in the work and show.  There are working and show dogs represented but they have an IPG3 Competition.
In the WUSV IPG3 Championship there are separate judges and a trial. This is strictly working dogs.
