Northern Maiden

by Northern Maiden on 28 November 2015 - 17:11

I have two long coats: Willow, who was from a long coat to long coat breeding, and Meadow, who was from a long coat to standard coat breeding. Meadow does not have fur tufts between her toes, nor does she have long fur on the bottom of her feet, while Willow has both the fur tufts and the long fur on the bottom of her feet. Their body fur is about the same length and thickness, if anything Meadow has the longer and thicker fur.

My guess is long coat for your puppy; however, I am not a breeder and am only going by the photos I have of my two at that age. Cute pup.

Well, I can't be certain but opposite of what many think, I think a plushy is genetically a shorter coated long coat.
Not a stock coat with a thick stock coat. So, I would say genetically a long coat.

In my opinion, your absolutely adorable (you wouldn't be pitchin for a compliment now would you???) 5 week old pup is definitely a long coat.
I have never looked all that carefully at the toes but rather at the teddy bear face. Look for those bluish whitish semi circles under their eyes. This is a cutie patuttie, long coat and because they are my preferance, this will be a long coated doll baby. Congratulations on your pick!!!!!
