Okay, how about this?

On 1 July 2016, the notoriously unreliable Breitbart web site published an article based on “conservative icon” Sarah Palin’s quipping that “paid anti-Trump protesters show presidential candidate Donald Trump is creating jobs even before taking office,” and quoting her as follows:

“We’ve been telling [Trump] he should hold his rallies at construction sites. You know protesters aren’t going to show up at a job site,” said Palin. “Did you know some of those rebel rousers, they’re actually paid protesters. So there you go, not even president yet and our guy’s already creating jobs.”

Of course, such a quip wouldn’t be funny — or relevant — if paid protesters weren’t actually showing up at rallies for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. And as usual, Breitbart had a problem with not being able to demonstrate that what they were reporting was actually true.

And THIS:

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/breitbart/

  • Overall, we rate Breitbart Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, the publication of conspiracy theories and propaganda, as well as numerous false claims.

I could keep on, ML, but you get the drift. It's obvious to everyone but YOU that Breitbart is an unreliable, far-right wing news source.

Oh, I like this one! PolitiFact rates 25% or Breitbart's news stories as 'pants on fire' lies!

OMG Sunsilver, you're using snopes? LOL

No wonder I've never paid much attention to your posts.

A closer look at these organizations, however, tends to show the exact opposite. In this article, we'll take a long, hard look at the highly dysfunctional outfit known as Snopes, one of the oldest and best-known fact check sites.

So, you're going to totally ignore the fact that all 4 sources say exactly the same thing about Breitbart?

Your lack of logic amuses me...

Mountain Lion

I could care less what YOUR bias sources say.

Now run along.

Starts losing argument, starts getting rude. ML you are SO predictable.

Thanks for checking in Hund, I can't imagine how I would survive without you.

It's interesting how you never post on this board anymore unless a controversial topic pops up in Off Topic.

Why don't you run along and go play with your friends at Breitbart instead?

To get back on topic - the convoy is still getting some very mixed reviews:

Then, there's this:

Fortunately, the fire was extinguished before it could hurt anyone, and since the whole thing was caught on the security camera, I am hopeful they will be arrested!

I don't have the link for it, but health care workers in the hospitals adjacent to Queen's Park are  being harrassed as they walk to work. Some of them have even asked volunteers to go with them, and the police have advised them not to wear their uniforms on their way to work.

One of the volunteers reported that they saw anti-semetic literature and placards at the Toronto demonstration.

My feelings about it are still that a vaccine mandate is a good thing. You have to be vaccinated to attend school in this province. You have to have certain vaccinations to enter a foreign country. With some of the third world countries, you'd be very much a fool if you DIDN'T have the recommended vaccines, as there are some very nasty diseases. As a visitor from a country where these diseases either don't exist, or have been pretty much eradicated, you will likely have little to no natural immunity to them.

I still feel your freedom has to have limits placed on it when it comes to protecting the greater good of society. If you look at the statistics for COVID, the U.S.A. has done a very poor job of controlling its spread, and it's mainly because of people's attitudes and insisting they have a right to do as they please.

Sure, the omicron variant is less deadly than some of the other COVID strains, and for most people, it's no worse than a bad cold. But because it's so much more contagious, those who DO get really sick from it are overwhelming hospital emergency rooms and ICUs, and preventing other people in need from being treated. And let's not forget the death toll in the United States now stands at 800,000 people.
