Jyl; I just checked out SPORT DOG FOODS; but wasn't looking for lamb and rice formula but have dropped pea stuff, and legumes and some other junk you cannot use. My boy is licking his foot raw at this time. Am not happy about that. And may have to make a change. OR cook.

Jyl , A passing thought :

Many brands of supermarket raw chicken are treated with substances such as tenderizers . Some supermarket brands even when sufficiently cooked , will actually triggeer migraine headaches for me while other brands do not cause migraines for me . The food industry is complicated .... So I am not in the least surprised about your last comment .

What about Victor Pet Food? American made. This recipe is beef and rice, although it does list chicken fat.

This is a good reference

One of the foods they recommend for German Shepherd dogs that I dont think has chicken:

Taste of the Wild Southwest Canyon Grain-Free Dry Dog Food does NOT have chicken I think. First 5 ingredients: Beef, peas, garbanzo beans, lamb meal, canola oil
Salmon oil with DHA to support cognitive function
Antioxidant-rich blueberries included to build immunity health
Real beef is the first ingredient
Made in the USA by a family-owned company
No artificial colors or toxic preservatives

Jean Dodds and did the NutriScan DNA swab Food Intolerance testing

Toss those results in the trash along with the money you threw in there because that "test" is a major scam.

Please go see a real veterinarian, not a "holistic" one. If you, and the real veterinarian, think your dog has food intolerances then you need to put him on a hydrolyzed protein food ONLY and see if that solves it. Then introduce other foods very slowly to find out what is really going on.

If you're not willing to do that this is a waste of yours and everyone else's time, honestly.
