I have heard good things about a heart worm, tick and other insect application product called 'Revolution'. anyone out there ever used it or know anything about it compared to the other similar products? Would like to hear information and experience now that it is almost that season here in Colorado.

From what i have learned from my vet (Who i worked for fr 8 years and have known for over 20 years) The multi-product flea,tick,heartworm products do not work as will as the single or double parasite does products.
It is better to use a flea and tick or heartworm and flea then revolution. He had too many clients with dogs showing up heartworm positive or infested with intestinal worms. And they still had fleas and ticks bothering them.
Preventic and Tick-arrest are the two best products for ticks i have found. Both stop the tick from being able to feed.
Comfortis is best for fleas, has the fastest kill of any product on the market and keeps the fleas off.
Heartworm i use Proheart, and break up the 6 month doses with 2 months of oral medication.
But talk to your vet what i use here in Florida may not work as well in Colorado
In either case i have not been impressed with the use of Revolution.

From since we got her my vet has her on sentinel spectrum every 30 days. I have never seen a flea on my dog ; she lives in doors and we are outside everyday.

My dog is currently only on Proheart. I have not seen fleas or ticks in years. And that saying something in Tampa where most companies come to test their products for effectiveness. Here fleas are spread by opossums and feral cats.
