I think if we can manage to leave the current US election campaign politics and (y)our preferences for the next President aside, we will be able to grasp the importance of Bubbabooboo's posts more clearly, and the childish attempts to ridicule a serious conversation will not be necessary.

A couple of sobering and true examples of why the police are not welcome to do as they please.  Thes econd one will make you sick to think that we have idiots with guns walking around with a badge and a license to kill.  Florida is open carry so if the dog had a gun presumably the cop would not have killed it.  Idiot cowboy cop.  But her car door was open so everything he does and kills is justified.

Imagine a world without the police.

Imagine a world without corrupt, murdering and thug police.  The first video is a dead kid.  Police are not allowed to kill suspects or their relatives and especially based on a "crimestopper tip" while filming a reality cop show.  A bunch of thugs with badges showing out like 5 year olds.

Imagine a world where we didn't need police.

I think of the two previously mentioned imaginary worlds, that is the least likely.

Here are a couple of police assholes in K9 cars trying to intimidate a man holding his dog on leash in his own driveway.  They are trying to start a confrontation which would end in him being arrested and his dog dead.  Really nice guys that I want protecting me ... shiiitt.

Bubba you obviously have some axe to grind with cops so you are not worth wasting my time over. Maybe you or your family are involved with criminal activity or are a screaming whiny liberal, I don't really care.

Fact is cops in every town in every state in every country in the world do great things, save lives, hold hands of children shielding them at least momentarily from the horrors most of us can't even imagine. Holding the bloody heads to protect the spine of accident victims until EMS arrives, consoling family members after bringing them horrific news of death. Catching felons, robbers, rapists, sociopaths, abusers etc etc etc, every second of every day. All the while without catching anything on video to rebut internet morons, not for accolades or pats on the back...just because it's their job...just answering calls for help. Sometimes they are CALLED for an aggressive loose dog...no owner in sight, potential victims nearby. Sometimes in the process of doing their job they have to enter other peoples yards who they may not know are occupied by a dog.

Police are not infallible, they are human. Unfortunately tragic mistakes or poor decisions sometimes happen. The vast majority go to work every day hoping to have the opportunity to do good. No cop goes to work hoping to shoot someones dog, person, deer, horse, cow. These rouge thug cops you think are running rampant is a figment of your warped imagination. Cops are often presented with and forced into the requirement to make a split second decision which defense attorneys and you internet idiots will spend months and years picking apart and analyzing from the comfort of their office, armchair or moms basement.

Most police incidents involving the shooting of dogs that I've seen could have been prevented by responsible ownership, and preventing the dog from being LOOSE in the first place. You will likely never have a problem if you keep your dogs contained and leashed at all times. Don't leave them outside in a large yard unsupervised for long periods. One dog bite can cause serious bodily injury and effectively cause loss of function to an arm or hand and end a police officers career. No matter how much you disagree or don't like it cops are not obligated to wait until they get bit to shoot. And shooting is a correct response to ELIMINATE the threat of a loose aggressive dog. Not saying there is never a situation which could be handled with less than lethal but that would solely be the officers discretion.

Police could certainly use more training in handling loose dogs...How about instead of wasting your time whining and crying on the internet or sliming cops any chance you can...how about you push to get the DOJ or your state or local Police certification agency to add that onto the 754 hours of training they get in the academy or during the 30-60 hrs of in-service training they get every year.

I am thankful for the phone cam and video surveillance cameras that see and report what the cops actually do and we need more of them ( cameras ) and fewer police. The police are a gang franchised by the local government, state government or federal government. Nepotism, corruption, and gang like activities are present in every PD, FBI and Home Security office in the nation. Intimidation and strong arm tactics are the police departments tools. I do not accept that we as a nation must accept the deceit and lies that police use to intimidate and convict innocent people and ruin their lives. One of the videos that I showed was about a squad of twenty or so police goons dressed in their GI Joe attire kicking in a door at night time in a poor black neighborhood with a reality TV show taping. The entire scenario was corrupt and deceitful. A supposed tip line informant ( anonymous of course ) pointed at a black man with a known drug history as the killer in a murder. I'm betting there was no tip and they just went for a usual suspect for the TV show to get a good "show". The goons kicked in the door at night shot and killed a 7 year old girl, smashed up the owners house and arrested the "suspect". They didn't mention if he was indeed involved in the murder but I bet he wasn't. They just wanted to get a good show for the TV cameras. The result was that a little girl 7 years old died. A community was torn apart. They jumped the gun and did not do proper investigation and spent thousands of dollars doing a cowboy gun show like a bunch of monkeys fucking a football. They had armored vehicles and the whole load of BS unloaded on those people. Why not just pick the suspect up and question him in the daylight. Hell call his house and ask to speak to him ... maybe he had an alibi or the supposed tip was a lie meant to punish him. The cops are dirty too often for me to trust or respect them as a group and there are few individual cops that I would trust to do the right thing if their "fraternal gang bonds" are part of the equation. Cops will lie to protect themselves, fellow cops and their superiors as part of their gang mentality and that makes them dangerous and untrustworthy thugs because you never who will show up ... the dog killing idiot who has the wrong address or the good guy Blue Blood hero.  Sometimes it depends on whether the cop is having a bad day at the office as to which one you get and that is also something to consider.

Well, let's talk about people who have "bad" days, for a start. Can't pin that one only on the police, now can we?
