I think its a valuable part of the training. I took mine and passed. If you know your stuff you'll be fine. If a handler cant handle a written test, why would one trust them to handle a dog? I think requiring proof of knowledge of the excercises is more than fair. The questions are easy, relavent to the task at hand and another trial milestone for those new to the sport. Good luck on your BH. I am sure you will do fine.
