ggturner. I am not arguing. I am just trying to have a discussion in order to understand what you mean. That is one of the reasons why we discuss. Yes? Your last post was informative to me as of what you mean. Thank you. I was responding to your statement that "protein is just a protein" Regardless of the protein food source (raw food or cooked) it will all be broken down into amino acids. Yes, heat (cooking) denatures protein but I’m not sure that matters once said protein is digested".which to me meant that all proteins are the same and that it does not matter for the organism digesting them if it was ingested cooked or raw.  I know that chemically you are right but that has little to do with my talking about the destruction of enzymes present in live food and it's negative effects of cooking and other processing on such enzymes and subsequently on the organism digesting them. In another word, I am saying that raw food is usually and in many aspects better and motre natural than processed food.  I mean that was the discussion I was heaving. Sorry to confuse the issue.  I am sorry for my mistake.

The enzyme thing isn't true at all. It goes back to junk "science" produced in the 1920s by a non-scientist, was promptly debunked, and forgotten about. Not sure why it's gotten such a resurgence. Generally any claim made about raw food isn't backed by any legitimate studies at this time.
