Papillon Ear infections

Our 10 year old Papillon has been getting constant ear infections.  The first drops the Vet prescribed caused hearing loss (hearing came back).  The hearing loss will get better and then return in about a month.  She now put him on Teraril-P tablets which is a steroid.  Does anyone have any advce?  Please email me at markgar@aol.com.  Thanks in advance

Has your vet done a deep ear swab and culture?
It takes several days for the culture to grow. Then the correct antibiotic or other medication can be given.

What are you feeding? Many times ear infections are caused by allergies...
