My male just turned one year old.  Both ears are up but the left one is a little soft.  I mostly notice it when he is running.  Just kind of flops.  Any suggestions or will it firm up as he gets older.

As long as that ear is up, I wouldn't worry about it.  Many dog's ear flop when running.  Its not an issue at all.   However, giving your dog bones to chew on might strengthen it.  He will use his muscles in his head while chewing.  Your boy is young and it quite possibly could get stronger, but like I said, if its standing up at all times and not flopping over other than when he is running, I would just leave it alone.  Keep us posted.

Your dog has a "friendly" ear. If he is used for breeding, odds are he will produce soft ears.

knuckle bone, knuckle bone, knuckle bone : - )  No worries, it will go up.  Just give him a couple of those to chew on.  Ask the meat department at your local store.
