Is Zidane V Haus Sevens still around?  I haven't heard much about him for quite a while now.  I have several of his daughters, and was wondering what ever happened to their father.

The last I heard, Zidane was still alive and living with his owner, Marlene.  I also heard he was no longer being bred.  We have a Zidane grandson, and we are in the process of getting a Zidane daughter.

Would be nice to get an update on him from his owner if she is still around here, or from anyone that may have reliable sources that can let us know how the big guy is doing.

Eleven years plus...not too shabby, though still it's always too short.  My condolences to those who loved him.

Not so easily...his show rating was only a G. Not saying that was an accurate representation...just that it was his rating.

Sitasmom, that I couldn't tell you--have to ask someone more familiar with the situation. Perhaps he was surveyed by a Körmeister who doesn't care for 'grey' dogs?

I do agree that he's an attracitve, well-put together dog, ...here's his Kör report, make of it what you will (somebody else will have to translate--I can read German well enough to get the gist of what it says, but not well enough to be willing to try and put a report into English):

Zidane was known for his amazing working ability and not for show..

YES he was nicely put together but his calling  card was his progheny.

HE was not worked much here after he came and being  Co Owned  he was always sought after for his breeding abilities.

Mahon met Zidane when he went to pic up My Pup and Zidane was there too

Zidane was not that friendly but he was not undesireable. HE was shown to be a bit hard headed to his master but that is something he just did.

He has many progheny in USA and has passed some good genes in the working line dogs.

Maybe some will post their pics..I cannot post right this minute..

ON NorrisNK9 Website there is a page on ZIDANE with pics and descriptions.

HIS pedigree shows very good BUNDISEIGERS etc and dogs known for their work.

I had been told Zidane was in puppy dog heaven, but did not want to post it myself, as I felt that had either of the co-owners wanted it posted, they would have posted it themselves.  Since I had not been visiting this forum alot, I did not see it posted before now.

Zidane was an awesome working dog, I believe the G rating is just alittle extra.  His ability is obvious in his progeny. He really passed himself on in them!

RIP Big Guy!

Another great one gone but lives on in his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids...

 Hutchins:

We know how you feel..I spoke with CN before I posted so she was aware I was answering this thread.

A courtesy that I extended as I knew about him long ago but the question was ask and needed to be told..

She is proud of him and on  her website are some results of only a tiny portion of progheny from Zidane having earned recognition thru their titles and work.

I have a Zidane daughter I got from Carol. She is a lot like her daddy, tough and strong. We obtained our SchH 3 last year. No big surprise, the protection phase is her favorite, like her daddy.

He sends a signal complete with no threat..HE didn't have to..You can read his body language

   Beauty comes for a purpose.

   RIP Zidane..

Our Zidane grandson is also " a fiesty one and very driven ( A nice way of saying he is hardheaded!"     Wink Smile    Our Zidane grt grand daughter is the sweetest lovable girl, but can hold her own if needed.  Again I would discribe her as, " a fiesty one and very driven ( A nice way of saying she is hardheaded!" Wink Smile
