does anybody has experience or information about new bloodtest SDMA
it supposidly is not correct on younger animals, under a year,
any input welcome

Did you ascertain a rise of kidney deseases in the breed ( GSD ), or why do you ask?

it is a new test, they say it is not accurate on young dogs,under a year , a new client wants this test on dogs but wants dogs starting 10 months, so what is the vulue of this test on young dogs

From my understanding SDMA increases earlier than createnine, so kidney deseases are recognized earlier.
Young dogs are affected seldom, and kidneys tend to fail slowly, so in young dogs even SDMA may not be very meaningful - but I am no pro...

well that is my opinion as well, why test young dogs with a test that is not accurate on young dogs, so therefore I would like to see if anyone uses this test on larger scale

Was this test not developed partly due to some cases of (possibly hereditary) Juvenile Renal Disease being discovered ? I recall Videx getting exised about that some 6 or 7 years ago; since when he's gone quiet ...I'd take a look at David's website and see if there is anything new on there.
