The real father of Leif is actually Sasko.. here is a part of an article of the Sieger Show 1999 by Fred Lanting:
"Conspicuous by their absence were several "greats". I did not find some that MAY have been there, but definitely absent was Leif. The biggest reason, in my opinion, is the scandal about his failing the now-required DNA test: his father, it appears, is NOT Hanno Wienerau after all, but Sasko Noriswand. Look at the photos of Leif and Sasko and you will think it's the same dog! Hundreds of Leif puppies' pedigrees are involved. I submit that the SV will correct the pedigrees, but SOMEbody will have to pay for all that."

P.S. I have a grandson of Leif, and at least in my dog's registration certificate Leif's father is Sasko.. |

| Has anyone been able to figure this out? Months ago I printed a copy of a pedigree of a dog sired by Leif from this database. Leifs father was listed as Sasko von der Noriswand. Now when I pull the pedigree It's Hunno listed as the father of Leif. Anyone know what the true bloodlines are? Thanks so much to anyone that can help! |

| I am confused - the pedigree I was looking at in conjuction with these comments shows his sire as being Hanno Wienerau, definitely not a 2-2 linebreeding. On another pedigree I saw his sire listed as Sasko Noriswand, and would be a 2-2 linebreeding. If the Hanno sired pedigree is inacurate, could it be corrected on this site? |

Martin and Double B are discussing the 2-2 Linebreeding of a dog in VA Leif von der Noriswand’s Pedigree,
Which no one was aware of at the time the Pup (Leif von der Noriswand) was whelped, as a Dog other than the actual sire was registered as the sire of this Litter.
The mistake was not found out until Leif placed VA3.
Martin asks whether Leif had been banned from breeding to which Double B response that to the best of his knowledge, the Breeder and Owner had to pay for changes to Leif’s Pedigree but the Dog had not been banned. |

| ganz einfach bei der Geburt dieses Hundes wusst man nicht das er 2-2 Inzucht hat da man einen anderen Rüde für den Vater hielt, die Sache mit dem richtigen Vater wurde erst aufgedeckt als er schon VA3 machte. |

Nein, normalerweise ist es nicht erlaubt. Frag mich aber nicht warum sie es bei diesem Hund zugelassen haben :)
