| Fanto was especially known for excellent character. He was the consumate GSD. Sadly he did not produce many great male progeny. His legacy lies in his daughters who have formed several distinguished mother lines. Such excellent dogs as Timo Berrekasten and Vando Moorbeck, who are known for working ability are out of Fanto daughters. Best Wishes, Jonah |

| A great dog indeed and a good producer too.A better producer of females than males.His brother Frei is a top producer too. |

I would say he is the best mover of all times. Just saw a video clip of him along with his progeny group....he is just an excellent mover and an equally great producer as well.

| You're right Bilko, I shouldn't have compared Rikkor with Fanto...the standard is worlds apart.It's nice to know that someone other than me who appreciates Fanto. |

| How can anyone even begin to compare Fanto vom Hirschel and Rikkor? Fanto was an absolutely top Male in every part.He could have produced better but when he won his two Sieger titles he was in a world of his own.To be truthful he should have been Sieger 3 times.The year Iso won could easily have been his as well.When this dog led the class is the main ring there was nothing to beat him especially on the move.Rikkor would not have been able to keep up with him. A real Sieger!!!!!!!!!!!Easily my favourite sieger. |

Fanto is the most perfect double Sieger ever bred by the Germans and the first and only GSD FCI world champion of all breeds in 1991.If you think Rikkor can move, wait till you see some video footage of Fanto... he epitomises perfect gaiting till today.
