Persistance pays people!! We located BlueKhans former breeders and owners and discovered his history!! The hip problems are the result of a car accident! It seems he has endured a major reconstruction to his hind portions, as he was hit by a passing motorist. His mother is a registered Hungarian GSD with a lovely history, named Black Diamond Gracie, but his father could be one of several registered fellows, as the former owner breeds as a hobby, and this litter kinda occurred on the sly (wink)....these things do happen, don't they? BlueKhan has had several hundred $$$ worth of work to his rear end, so puppies might not have been possible anyway, even if the humane shelter had not insisted he be neutered. We don't care anyway. He's a big baby who lives indoors, and gets treated like a puppy in a bears body! LOL We are just thankful he has been declared in excellent health, is on heartworm prevention, and living the life of O'Reilly! Just wanted to give you fine folks an update on him....

BlueKhan was discovered at the local Humane Shelter. His previous owner didn't leave his papers (we feel certain there ARE some, of course!), he is a magnificent animal, well behaved, great manners, housebroken, never attempts to get on the sofa or the bed, but was impossible to keep in an 8 foot high fence! No, he didn't climb over, he simply moved the fence sections, or opened the gates, or used his brains to make his way to the front door to request to be allowed inside! Weighing in at well over 100 pounds, he has the power to do whatever he pleases, but chooses to do as he is told. He is most gracious, loving and kind. We are deeply concerned due to mild health problems in the hips, and a poor appetite, but hope that love and affection will overcome all. He has been neutered, so no pups will be forthcoming from this wonderful guy. We obtained him in the bootheel of Missouri (Carutherville). If anyone has any info him, I'd be grateful for it. Also, please enlighten me on the common name for the solid black color...it has slipped my mind...I'm blonde!
