Axel received his WDS 1 at the 2008 AKC National Working Dog Sport Cup Championship. Axel was High in Tracking in Trial at the National Cup Championship. The AKC WDS National Cup Championship was held in conjunction with the German Shepherd Dog Club of Amercia National Speciality in Beaumont Texas. AKC Working Dog Sport is under the same international rules as Schutzhund and titles are equilivent to one another.

Axel is in training for his Schutzhund titles. Axel has his OFA certification for elbows in addition to his OFA for Hips Good. Axel has an impeccable temperament. He is sound and loving even with children. Axel is not dog aggressive. He is a wonderful friend and companion in the house, yet he is a ball of fire and strength on the Schutzhund field. He is very intelligent and easy to train with a desire to please.
