one of the best german sheppards ever. My conclusion is based on his performance and his genetics. In my opinion was it for the owner not important tot breed only with the best females. For her he was not a "goldmine".
I wish more people were like her.

To become the father of two females who had va1 en va2 in the same year is the ultimate proof of the importance of shanto's xano.

I don't know how relevent this will be to your quiery.........but as for Xano's progeney........ Yes males are lacking, but his daughters have done very very well after all VA1 and VA2 together is Fantastic!...... also this years new VA Quantum is a grandson of Shants's Xano.......So the important thing is if a Top conformation male has managed to spread his genes positively.......for this I feel Shanto's Xano has done one hell of a job....So Xano Has done a fair bit of contribution to our Breed!
On a more Personla front I have a Superb Xano daughter and My has she Produced for me....a real world-class male she has given me! thankyou.

Thanks for the interesting statistics Schaeferhund. I guess Xano really did father quite a few pups just not a bunch big German Sieger Show superstars.

I guess I am referring more towards the lack of photos than the lack of registered offspring. I just like him for some reason and wanted to see more of what he produced.

If you look in the progeny list for this male, you will see MANY dogs listed, close to 300, at least.

I asked this prior to the change to website and had gotten a few answers but was still wondering why there are so few progeny for Xano. He's a very nice looking VA male with great pigment. Just wondering if he just wasn't a popular stud or was it something else? I am familiar with his son VA(US)Nero von der Zenteiche who has sired many nice litters in the U.S. but no other sons.
