| I had the very best litter I have ever bred from Zamp, the dam being my Karat's Yoker daughter Peppermint's Bungee, which I purchased from Germany especially to mate with Zamp. The litter was large, 7 males and 2 females and I retained two males, Videx Razor, and Videx Rudi and one female Videx Rakell. They are now 18 months old and all three are excellent, Videx Rakell is truly outstanding. I have watched Zamp over the tears, and his progeny. I have come to the clear opinion that he is a very special dog within our breeds history, and an outstanding producer. |

sumo, i personally think that we can judge a gsd's gait at an all breeds show more preciesly as there is no " pull pull pull ", thats what i have experienced at pune on 12 jan08, however i would like to hear your views. |

| Congrats Zamp for winning the show. Ofcourse Zamp can win any show on the earth. But he could not win the group thats miserable. For me seeing a GSD in All breed show is pathetica and painful. All breed ring does not do justice to GSD's movement. I dont know how is the ring for crufts show. Then double handling is alos not allowes which bring out the best in GSD. Anyway it must be good fun for Zamp team in all breed show. |

Congratulations on Zamp's 1st Open Dog, CC & B.O.B. at Crufts 2008.
The presence of Zamp at Crufts 2008, the Worlds largest Dog Show, made it a truly memorable occasion for ALL GSD enthusiasts here in the United Kingdom.
To see such a superb GSD male at Crufts, and for many they were seeing him for the first time, was a marvellous and memorable experience.
What a fantastic day we all had, especially the GSD competitors, with our GSD's sharing the ring with Sieger Zamp vom Thermados.
A truly great day!

Ursus von Batu again figured strongly in the bloodlines of this Sieger Show, although it was apparent that some alternative bloodlines are being brought forward, particularly Dux della Valcuvia. Two of his sons and a grandson were awarded VA, namely Quantum von Arminius VA2, Marko della Valcuvia VA7 and, the son of Quantum von Arminius, Zamp vom Thermodos VA5. It is very clear that Dux della Valcuvia is a very influential sire, and is not only a top producer himself, but his three top class producing sons, Marko, Quantum and his grandson Zamp, ALL carrying his excellent reproductive abilities. This ability should be more closely examined.
I offer the following explanation of these very important producing abilities which will help breeders understand where much of it originates from. It will also strongly emphasize the importance for breeders to more closely examine the producing females in a potential stud dog’s pedigree.
Dux della Valcuvia - his powerful reproductive capabilities not only come through VA Max della Loggia di Mercanti, they also come strongly through Una della Valcuvia. Una is the daughter of the outstanding female VA "Ulme de Valdovin", a female bred in Spain by Javier Mallo.
Marko della Valcuvia is line - bred 3-2 on this fabulous female VA "Ulme de Valdovin" who was undefeated in Germany in 1996. Ulme was twice VA6 in Germany, Siegerin of Spain, two times Siegerin of Italy and also Belgium Siegerin. Ulme was a magnificent daughter of Sieger Visum vom Arminius, and the Spanish Siegerin Ora von Batu. Look how the "Della Valcuvia" breeder has based his kennel, and inbred on Ulme. Many of her offspring follow her type. Ulme is a half sister to the great V male Lux de Valdovin SG3, (a Zamb v.d. Wienerau son and one of his best). Lux is apparent in many of the German VA's - like Larus, Untox etc. Lork de Valdovin VA of Spain and one of the best Spanish producers of all time. Lina de Valdovin SG16 Germany, and of course Ulme, Lux, Lork, Lina, are all through the VA1 & Spanish Siegerin Ora v. Batu. Ora von Batu, mother to Ulme, is also sister to Ossa v. Batu mother to Immo v. Batu, a top producer in his own right, and sire of Australia's top producer of many years Iwan vom Lechtal. It is clear that much of Marko's 'producing ability' comes through several outstanding producing females.
The results of the 2004 Italian Sieger Show emphatically illustrate the producing abilities of Marko della Valcuvia. The progeny of Marko at the 2005 German Sieger Show continue to re-enforce his producing abilities, as does the progeny of Quantum, and his son Zamp vom Thermodos, who had 13 daughters in the TOP 50 in the Jugend female class (junior class) and 7 males in the TOP 50 in the Jugend male class (junior class) – a TOTAL of 20 out of these 100 TOP GSD, ONE IN FIVE, a tremendous achievement. I hope the readers can appreciate why I have gone into so much detail of these valuable bloodlines.

As I have written earlier Zamp holding his nerves MUST be sieger to recognise the line from Jeck coming throught his sieger son Visum Arminius, Max Mercanti, Dux Valcuvia and Quantum Arminius who missed the crown with the reappearance of Larus this year. Outstanding family tree.
Zamp is a culmination of some great pedigree weaving, carries the blood of some Beautiful dogs, who just missed the post in spite of near perfecion anatomie, prominant names being Esko Danischen Hof through Karly Arminius.
Proof of this great concoction is 2 top siblings Zamp and Zasko (both producing top)

It's a not wise thinking. We need to know to evaluate the offspringgroups:a. how many matings or entered offspring in the age above 12 months in the Zuchtbuch.b. The mated bitches are they: above average/avarage/below average? c. If there are many SZ offspring- entries above 24months what is the % in the GBRHKL. Now very worthy males, not used because they do not have a network or coming outsite Germany, can be out of VA though they have very high potentials.
Now we have to use to get rid of some VA dogs with a lot of entries in SZ,mated to above avarage bitches and nevertheless are very poor producers. We don't need it to exclude males with high breedvalue-potentiels. The present offspringevaluation is very questionable We need basic information: HD-a result and Zuchtwert;
ED-result (Zuchtwert if possible) Entries in SZ above 12 Months on day of Hauptzuchtschau. Results: of above 24 M.offspring Korungen/ Results on HZS

| It`s true he failed, but talking with firends in Germany and with a German Breedeer and SV Judge by the way, he told me that the dog does not have character problems or semething like that, that he just did not bite that day because like persons he was having a bad day, that the dog is one of the best and that many breeders including him were using him, so i guess that the reason why he is not the flavour of the month is because many people now go with the flow and use the top dogs of the last BSZS, i guess in time we will know the true about these dog, if he have a character problem and if he can transmite his overall quality |
