| I knew a Cliff son, the sire of my Cliff grandson, and this Cliff son, Herzog vom Blitzstrahl, was one of the finest dogs I have ever had the luck to know, in sheer worklust, drive and power. Yet as great as Herzog was, his son, Cohen vom Adler Stein, is better while maintaining the same qualities that made Cliff and Herzog great dogs. He produced top working qualities time after time as well as true German Shepherd character.........vigilance, protectivness, nerves of solid steel, super with family, the whole enchilada. This dog has it all, and it is too bad he is 9 years old......but I am lucky to have owned him, he is a once in a lifetime dog, and I say that being no fan of "showlines" But Cliff was a working dog, he proved it and he passed it on to his son Nastor, obviously, but even better when bred into working lines, such as the case with Herzog. Cohen is Cliff bred into old and very high quality West and East working, which was the best place to preserve those working qualities, since the show line breeders did not do so. My Cohen is my constant companion and he is still cranking out his sons and daughters for now so I will keep feeling blessed. |
