Hi Mike,
As for your answer , Nah Rapi isnt being sold to John at all.John got into the business 3 years ago now.He bought his first dogs from Bill ,and many since then.He has a good business relationship with Bill,as well he keeps some of Bill's dogs there at his location. So he has full access to Rapi as well any other dogs he wants to use for stud.

Well, I wonder if Bill isn't selling Rapi. I just came across kolenda Kennels and they have him listed under their studs.

Anyone know anything about that?

Hi,
Reffering to the Bill ,and Han's comment.
At the time Rapi came here they both did
own him,yes a co-own.After the Madison Show
Rapi was no longer owned by Hans, but by Bill.
So Bill own's full rights to Rapi,Han's came to the Sieger show and showed Rapi with Bill,
Hans and his wife are very nice people.I so enjoyed that show.I myself dont own any of Bill's dogs but do know the man has alot of
Integrity,Honor,and isnt Shady.Being a dog
trainer here in his area I see all kinds of
dogs from his kennel as well others, and in the years I have been doing this only heard of 2 bad cases of anything, but they werent shady,Dysplasia was the culprit. As per Rapi,
super nice dog,I was very impressed with him.
I got to spend alot of quality time petting
him,playing with him,and what a crusher!

I have a 2 year old Supi daughter, Babs von Arminius. There's a picture of her on this site, though she was out of coat at the time of the photo. She has a wonderful temperament and is beautiful.

The mother of this litter has very balanced drives. She will bite through the helper. Her grips are deep and calm.

This will be a top quality litter for the show with excellent movement, pigment and structure....but...these puppies are also anticipated to be able to do the work very well.

What are your expectations from the litter? What do you think the puppies will be able to do? How is the female's working attitude?

Thanks

This pregnancy is confirmed via ultrasound and our female is getting very large. She is due on August, 13, 2003. This is a 2-3 liebreeding on Neptun v. Bad-Boll, and was recommended by one of the top GSD breeders in the world!

In response to Cesna, about the upcoming Supra litter - when are they due? Where could I see photos of the dam?

In response to Lynn's note about her 18 month old Supra daughter - do you have any photos of her posted on a website that I could see? I love the looks of Supra, and have heard wonderful reports of his personality and temperment. I'm considering purchasing one of his puppies, and would love to see some photos of some of his progeny.

Apparently the dog contracted a tick borne disease while in the States, and had some temporary difficulties which have been resolved by treatment. Info posted on another list indicates the ban is being/has been lifted.

Just to let you guys know.... Bill Fleischer brother CO owns Rapa Supra. As far as the site http://www.vomhausmiller.com/siegershow2002.htm tells me that Rapa Supra is Owned by Hans Häussler and William Fleischer. Maybe they changed but He DOESNT just own Rapa Supra ALONE which means he doesnt get all of the credit.

I for one am very happy to see young progeny from this spectacular male here in the United States. His progeny group at the Sieger Show in 2002 was excellent and I am pleased to own a super 18 month old female (getting titled in Germany) sired by him (and also expecting a litter in August).

Rapi Supra has the temperament, structure, excellent male secondary sex characteristics, black pigment-rich red color, very dark eyes, tight feet, oval bone, ideal coat, strong ears, perfect ear set, beautiful saber tail(that beats you to death when he greets you) with a very athletic-full reaching ground covering gait that we Americans really need and rarely see.

Furthermore, he is a fun loving, good natured dog; to everyone he meets he forever leaves a lasting super impression. What a great ambassador for the German Shepherd Breed. We are lucky indeed to have him living in the United States and well managed by Fleischerheim to insure that we have a healthy fertile male available for breeding and a selection of top quality puppies.

No one is trashing Mr. Fleischer or Rapi Supra. This has been and will continue to be an intelligent discussion of legitimate questions about an internationally used stud dog.

That is fairly ridiculous. No one is trashing the dog or the owner.
The original question was whether or not anybody KNOWS exactly what the story was. As potential Supra puppy byer I have a full right to know, if there was something wrong with the father!!
Unfortunately putting up a cert of the sperm from December 2002 does not clear up anything.

I can't believe that most of you have nothing to do besides trash Rapi Supra and Bill Fleischer. Mr. Fleischer obviously has a great reputation and puts HIS money where is mouth is. How about most of you? I believe there's a lot of jealously and most of you epitomize those people who never do anything and criticize those that get out there and do something!!

So, again, what WAS the problem with his sperm last summer? You can put your response on the Message Board if you like, because the discussion is there, too.

I am the owner of quite a few dogs from Bill Fleischer and I am pretty happy with the dogs from his kennel.

I don't have any offspring of Supi's yet but I feel that the Fleischer's are confident enough to stand Rapi at stud all should be fine with his sperm count too.

He's posted a letter from his vet and he's not hiding anything. He has several "big" litters at his kennel by Supi now and I'm sure more will follow.

We've always had animals (bulls, rams, boars etc.) for breeding, as for years we've had a farm and sperm counts can vary due to many different stresses.

Unless a tragic illness with the animal, all counts did return to near or perfectly normal ranges.

Shouldn't these comments be made on the message board instead of here?

I'm new here so I don't know. I guess now I'm just as guilty of making statements like this under his comments.

I did see some of his puppies on the stud owner's website. He seems to stand him out to stud too.

So far, no one is saying that their bitches did not take...

May I further add...

It might be a good idea for any interested in the pups available at Fleischers Kennel to be DNA tested before purchasing one of them. Just to make sure they are really from Rapi Supra.

As I believe these pups start at $2,500 and up better safe than sorry, especailly at these prices for a young puppy.

Yes, yes. It's been posted already. But the sperm was from the 18.12.02. He needs a fresher test.

Yes, there is a breeding ban...in Germany...due to the problems that were faced last summer. However, Supi is clearly fertile at this time. I'm sure that the breeding ban will be lifted as the dog proves himself once again.

OK, Cesna, that's good news. So, what was the problem with the sperm that caused the ban? Are you saying that there is not a breeding ban at this time?

We just bred one of our bitches to Supi...His sperm count as of a week and a half ago is great! This problems doesn't stem from recent months, but from last summer... By the way... This will be a SUPER breeding...2-3 on Neptun v. Bad-Boll. The litter was recommended by a top judge! :)

Doesn't Bill Flesicher own him? I noticed that their website lists several litters by him now.

I do recall though that last winter they had at least a half dozen females listed bred to him but they disappeared off the site and I never seen a pup born to him until now.

I've been watching as I wanted to get one of his pups but the females that suppose to have litters by him now aren't the breeding I'm looking for.

I wanted to purchase a pup from several of the females that just vanished from this site and never any pups listed by these females ever.

Went to visit the SV Web Page today (yesterday) and came across the Announcement, thought it to be of interest to others and 'COPY&PASTE' the original German Text, (had to translate it into English though!)
I almost went and got a pup out of Rapi in 2001 but decided to go with Drake v. Kirchenwald instead, whether or not Rapi's shootin' blanks will be determined through testing!
