Bellheim, few miles from Karlsruhe, was the place to be for the GSD world, the 9th of April… a real Easter GSDay’s !
When Reiner Gunst (Kennel Von Satyr) ask me to come, nobody was expecting around 200 entries. Meantime, at GSD shows, in France, Germany or Italia, I have seen less and less competitors. So, when I received, six days before the show, that 182 dogs were in the catalog, I decided to make the trip to Bellheim (600 kms by car from Paris) and to cover the show.
It’s the second time that Bellheim is on our GSD schedule, at Aniwa. The first time, it was in 2005, when Rudiger Maï and Heinz Scherrer were judging. Only Pakros d’Ulmental was there last monday, between the 17 dogs placed in 2005… And he won the largest class of this 37th edition, the 9th of april 2007. Some wellknown dogs were in the catalog but not in the ring, like Hannibal or Yenno, but the quality was in the ring of Mr Meyer (Vom Bergmanshof).
