K-9 Police Officer Monty Ruffner with Officer Harry Ruffner
K-9 Police Officer Monty Ruffner with Officer Harry Ruffner		 My partner Police K-9 Officer Monty Ruffner had to be put down on Monday 11-02-2009 at 12:00 pm.  He gave me the best times of my life and also his.  Even though he lost his ability to walk he fought a valiant fight to recover and to be with me.  I took him to numerous specialists.   I did my best for him.  By the time I found the right specialist it was too late.  He refused to live my side even when it was time to put him to rest.  He fought the medicine that was given him.  More than enough to put down an elephant.  This is how strong his will was to stay by my side.   When he died, so did my heart.   I will alway have his spirit with me.  I can still hear, feel and smell his presence by me.   He is staying here for a while before going to Heaven where he will be waiting to escort me.  We will then be together for Eternity.  God, I miss my Monty.  Please take good care of him.  I will be waiting to be with him.
