So I decided to try to be a nice person and give the guy who wanted this pup the opportunity to have her, although he couldn't take her right away, as he lives in GA and was just starting a business.  Oh, I should throw in the fact that I also told him he could pay for her in 3 installments, and I would ship her when I had 2 of the 3. I knew I was taking a chance, but he seemed like a good home for the dog, which is the most important thing, and he was planning on working her, and this pup needs to be worked.

I asked him beginning the first week in October to send me a Paypal deposit to hold her. Well, due to a language barrier, I didn't get one and he said when asked that he was going to send me business checks, which was fine, as long as they cleared before I shipped the dog. Didn't hear from him for a week or two. Emailed again, said that I was going to breed Capri again in April, and maybe that would be a better litter for him, time-wise, since he obviously wasn't ready. He insisted he wanted THIS pup, and was mailing the checks, postdated each a week apart. I am extremely busy right now with a newborn, 7 dogs, and 3 horses, so I let a bit more time go by than normal. Anyway, after 2 MONTHS of going back and forth asking him to please just send me SOMETHING via Paypal (he'd wanted to  send me business checks, but they never showed up), I gave him an ultimatum. I said I wanted the pup paid in full by the weekend, or she was going to be sold to someone else. He assured me he would send it.

Then, a friend of mine/dog contact called me and said that this guy called HIM, and asked about the pup he got he from me, and me in general....checking my references. Ok, that's fine, and I had encouraged him to do that, BUT NOT 6 WEEKS AFTER I'D BEEN HOLDING A DOG FOR HIM WITH NO MONEY! My friend assured me that the guy really wanted the puppy and he'd be sending the money right away. He'd explained to him that no breeder in their right mind is going to ship a dog until it's paid for and he had nothing to worry about from me, and that the pup was absolutely top quality and quite reasonably priced considering.

After some more back and forth about payment methods, I haven't heard from him.

This really pisses me off because of course I knew that I needed to insist on an immediate deposit, and payment in full shortly thereafter, but I've had some hard luck lately and was trying to give someone else in the same boat a break. Karma, you know? But this moron had to go and screw it all up. I hope she ends up being phenomenal and he follows her progress and kicks himself in the groin over and over about screwing this up for himself. She will be fine; this is not some reject puppy that no one wants. I was going to keep her myself, but really can't, and I have had tons of interest in her but I gave him my word that she was his and I actually honor my word.

Bottom line, this gorgeous girl is available to excellent home only. I posted this b/c of all the PMs I got when I put up her pedigree. Maybe one of those people who isn't actively looking at the classifieds would be interested to know she is now for sale.   Copy and paste this link to see her pedigree:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/628443.html

Working home preferred...for the sake of the owner, lol. This girl is quite full of piss and vinegar. ;-) I would not want to deal with a bored Aria. Having said that, she is capable of being very calm and loving, but an experienced home would be best.

Beautiful girl    great pedigree

quit using your Heart and use  your Brain.........

glad you didnt send dog with the checks in hold....probably all a scam.

No ship until money in hand , and all checks clear the bank.......today it seems we have the biggest dog abusers for non payment  ever.

YR                   sounds like a scam

Commented on this stunner on her pedigree page and the GSD section of the board. Hope she gets the right owner and fulfills her potential, she is one super looking puppy, and someone is going to be very lucky to get her.

Thanks, Bazza and Ziegenfarm.

YR, it wasn't a scam; just another moron. I spent literally HOURS on the phone w/him. I would never, never, never sell a puppy to someone I haven't actually SPOKEN with. He's just stupid and inconsiderate. I hope he bought a cheaper puppy somewhere else and it sucks. LOL. I was so close to keeping her, I figured I'd give him a chance and if he didn't buy her, then oh well. I'd keep her for a while at least, maybe put some training on her and sell her started as a sport, PP, or breeding prospect. A dog like this will always be desireable, regardless of age.

While I'm bashing human nature...let me say I actually let 3 people with pups from this litter make payments, and I was not disappointed. They wouldn't have been able to get them otherwise, and they were all in tight money situations through no fault of their own. I'm glad I could help them out and that the dogs went to the BEST homes...not the homes with the most money. These people will spend their money on the proper care of the dogs for the rest of their lives. So, it's not always a bad thing to be nice! ;-)

Thanks to those who have passed the link on to friends; I had several emails this morning.

She's a stunner!  Wow!  She's got the look that just takes away my breath!  What a beautiful animal.

Too bad I have two kids, a hubby, and a school to take care of, besides my Oakie...I'd love to learn more about training for sport!

Crys.

Thank you, YR. I, too, wish I was rich! ;-)

Yes, I am very proud of Capri. The only thing better than her looks and structure is her temperament! I hit the jackpot with her. Although, I was a lot closer to rich before I bought her.....hmmmm....LOL

I admire all of the work you put into Capri. She is one awesome girl.  I spotted this litter the other day and was reading some old posts about Capri. Very nice litter...I was really impressed. The pups are absolutley gorgeous. Avira was my favorite. When I saw her picture for the first time, I was like "Wow". And yes Jackpot with Capri. She seems to be one in a million!!! Im sure she will find a great home. Like YR, I wish I was rich.  One Day!

Thanks, Kelly. Which pup was your favorite? Ava? Avasha? Aria? There's no Avira...I think you made a typo;-).

Allmost all of the girls look like Capri; there were 2 who had a slightly different facial expression that I'm assuming came from Ron; the rest were "mini Capris" in different colors. Temperamentally, I'd say unless Ron is just like Capri, they are like their mother...a LOT like their mother. Stable, clear-headed, intense, tenacious, affectionate (on their terms, lol), and balanced. Lucky, lucky, lucky. You never know if a great dog will reproduce itself or not.

Yes she is just a gorgeous pup! But as I did not hit the lottery tonight, I will just have to hope you find her a good place. You shouldn't have to try too hard, she is a star! Congratulations, & good luck! jackie harris

Yea sorry that was a typo. I dont even know why I put that... I know her name. It was very late and after work I had to babysit a 3 year old, a 2 year old and a 10 month old... I guess I was dogged out! Aria is favorite. I love her expression. Anza is beautiful too. How did the male turn out? Do you have any updated pictures of him?

There were 2 males, Alf (Strider) and Apache. Elkoor owns Apache. I don't have any stacked pictures of either of them, but I hear they are doing well. I will see if Elkoor will post about Apache. Aria has her mother's expression. Actually, all but 2 of the girls did, and one of them now looks more like Capri then she did when she was little.

As someone who has seen Aria (and two of her siblings) and played with her, I can attest to her potential for high level sport, personal protection, PSA, or anything else you might want to do with her. She is a dog that I would gladly own (and would like to, except that I have a young dog presently) and would love to be there along the way as she fulfills her potential.
I see Aria being comfortable in any situation. I really like that she is on the smaller side when it comes to females. Do not mistake this for being too small. She is, in my opinion, exactly what a female GSD should and will be. My guess is that she will end up around 65lbs of solid muscle. I love females like this. They make for little rocket ships. From a visual standpoint Aria is absolutely  beautiful. She will be a real looker as an adult.
Aria's temperament is also rock-solid, which is no surprise because her mother, Capri is the same.
Speaking of Capri, what a beauty she is also. Capri exudes temperament and confidence from every cell on her body. If she is ever bred again in the future, I do not see how she will ever produce a less than confident dog. I was also lucky enough to work her on a sleeve and I can tell you this, Capri is quick, athletic, and possesses a full, hard grip. (My arm hurt for a couple of days after working her on a hidden sleeve) She was back-tied and I extended her as far as I could. She never lost her grip once, even when I tried to pry her mouth off the sleeve. She was not, in the least, bothered by my hand mimicing stick hits above her head. She loves to fight and brings it for real. Capri is an all around tremendous dog and appears that she has/will produce the same.

I can attest to the great temperament of the pups as I have Apache, one of the males. He has great ball drives, loves to retrieve. Has been started on the puppy tug, and my trainer called him "stand-offish" as Apache likes to set the rules ...LOL When I am taking him out in public many coment on how well behaved he is, which is just a sign of being well balanced.

I am a lousy picture taker, sorry, Jen :) My friend Lena took some pictures at our training field, but I am still waiting on them. Well, she took over 400 pics that day of everyone, so it can take a while to get to them.

Thanks, Elkoor. He still has that same "look". Is he as serious as he usually looks now? He was when he was little- has he changed much?

Wow, I am surprised how blurry the pic is now. I could swear it was much more clearer as I posted it! I still have the original file, so I will send that one to you.

Yes, he is still very serious and usual hangs on someones' leg or neck. He is almost as tall as Tonga on the withers, would guess 21" maybe. He is of dominant nature and likes to set his own rules, which makes him a little standoffish. His drives are incredible, great retrieve with the ball (big and small), always hungry (alligator- watch your fingers), wants to work/play with you. Once he gets a hold of the puppy tug, he wont let go at all, and he already carried it back to the car the second time he was on it. If he wants something, he definitely will let you know loudly. But he can be very mellow and cuddly too. Started him on the dumbell too. I dont beat obedience into him, just building on what he offers me naturally.  And he is great with other dogs and people. Even plays the "dummy" dog for a dog agressive puppy. It is difficult to explain what he is doing, but with his body language he takes the edge off the other pup and the pup calms down so that they even play together without getting loud. He might grow into a true alpha.

But I think you see a lot of that in Aria too. she looks great in that pic. With all that dark brown reminds me of Arko, wonder if that rich brown comes down from Sven. You know, that black female (forgot the name) comes closest with the looks to Capri, I think. Did you get a pic of Strider yet? Wonder how he turned out?

He sounds very much like I thought he'd be when he was little. He had this "no nonsense" look about him very early on.

I did get a few pics of Strider yesterday. He's doing very well and looks a lot like Anza. Most of the girls got Capri's facial structure and expression. Anza and Capri were just in the living room together right before Anza left, and WOW- they looked identical. I think Apache is taking a bit more from Ron in the face and structure.
