My husband is sueing me for alimony.
No.... SERIOUSLY.

The basis for this brilliant decision, according to his attorney, (with a straight face, so I'm told!  :-O ) is:
As a world-famous dog trainer and breeder, I am "capable" of making a lot more than my husband's $38./hr., +/- $70 yr.

According to them, I have 12 top-quality breeding GSD's, all of whom are cranking out hundreds of very expensive litters, servicing long lines of females for breeding, while I "flit" around the country, "wining and dining" ...at dog shows.

Any thoughts on this interesting theory? Anyone? Sam?

One thing for sure: If those theories have any merit, I'm sure doing a great job of hiding my success!
ROTFLMAO!

SS

HINT- I have produced 4 litters in the last 7 yrs. One was a single puppy litter. Average sale price $1200.
No wonder I am driving a piece of junk.

Oh. My.

Shelly, right now you are wearing the "long-suffering" crown. Holy mackeral. You need to contact www.abanet.org/legalservices/delivery/delmodesthelp.html  and depending on what state you are calling "home" or where the divorce proceedings is being handled, get you some legal help.

Sounds like you need a better lawyer than his.  The one with the best lawyer usually wins. ;)

Hi Shelley, just have the IRS show them you W-2 forms. That should clear things up. Then sue him right back.

Always,
Cee

ps: I still have a horse that likes running thru the pucker brush :)))

That pucker brush and horse scenario is still the best idea ever.

Your lawyer better have a good reply for this blatant bluff. They always ask for more so you'll be happy with less. Don't sweat it too much, a lie isn't too hard to figure out.

Sorry to hear this.....................some men never learn

Alimony is taxable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Ask the IRS   Hope his lawyer reminds him of that

Why, whatever do you mean? You mean your dogs DON'T live in 24K gold plated crates and you don't wear Gucci on the training field?  And here I got into dog training thinking I'd be shopping at Tiffany's and rolling up to shows in an Escalade in no time! Ugh. Guess I'll have to cancel my order for a dog trailer sitting on Mansory's. Damn.

Shelley,
I'm afraid the Lawyer does make all the difference as someone pointed out.
I've never had a good one, they cost too much for my budget.
Bastards!

What about his Aluminum stock pile?   He might be walking on a fortune and not even know it.   I'd ask for half.
One thing about judgments, they are hard and expensive to collect.
Especially after you've moved out of state.

Its always darkest before the dawn, especially on the west coast.......:)

Hang in there,
Moons.

Oh, for cyring out loud.  Is his lawyer his drinking buddy?  They had to be into the suds to come up with this one.  It would be laughable if it wasn't so damn pitiful.  Hang in there Shelley.  You have truth behind you and let's all pray that the judge has at least half a brain.

I just got some serious news.
Apparently my husband's affairs are being handled by a much higher court than any here on earth.
It would be in poor taste for me to comment further at this time.

I have poor taste.  Her husband had a heart attack on the same day as the hearing date - and he's in intensive care now fighting for his life.  I hope Karma or one of the Fates stands right by his side during his ordeal, possibly near the power supply to his breathing apparatus....  Apparently his family had a date to take kids to the circus, so noone is with him in this trying time of his life.  So sad.  Laughing out loud here.

molly who trusts in the Fates.

Never seen Karma act so fast, I want to borrow that angel.
She must have been watching Shelley all these years while she trained the dogs, and learned a thing or 2 from her. Punishment should be hard and fast and at the time the bad behaviour.

Two Moons is correct, Shelley this is not your fault, do not take this emotional baggage on.

Oh I'm going to be sorry I said that if he...you know...

Hey don't be too hard on his family. They have already seen the circus at HIS house, after all.

Keep Your head held High  Look Up and breathe.......Do not feel any guilt..he already let go of Life along time ago...He did this to himself...not you and you have nothing to be ashamed of..You took the beatings , the bad days and made good for yourself by leaving...He has to make peace with his Maker now .   Stay where you are and just say a pray of Thanksgiving that you are ok.  You could be laying in the hospital with much worse...

Heads Up and stay on your course...Never Look BACK... Mixed Emotions will do nothing now...Let his Family and his Maker deal with him...God has ways of bringing people to their senses, and if he lives, he may have a different view of how to live but his past treatment of you and lots of other women cannot be forgotten.

I have searched my soul today. I can't find a shred of guilt about the man's condition (he made it through surgery apparently, 2 stents). To be honest, I can't find much of anything in the way of strong feelings... mostly just morbid curiousity, to be honest.

A lot of water has passed under that under that bridge... and he went to a lot of trouble to NUKE the bridge.
If he crosses it, he crosses it alone.
None of my dogs are waiting for him on the other side, that's for sure.

Maybe this is what healing feels like?

It is what feeling good about yourself feels like. You are getting your sea legs. It is good that so much time passed before this took place.

The reality is, we all cross that bridge alone.

Ditch the guilt, it is and ever will be a tool of control. Sometimes for better, more so for worse. Know the difference.

BE4U: The attraction that got them together at this point does not mean much. What works best now is how to divide.Fairly enters the conversation, but some lawyers like how the problems equal more fees. It is a game and dance, and thank god there are dogs, not kids involved. That brings a new dimension to the workings of a dissolution of marriage.

And yes!  When I get another dog it will be another bitch and I don't care if it's a K litter or not, her name shall be Karma!
