I am looking for some information. I recently was invited to join a club, when I asked around to see if others had any experiences with this club and the trainer, I received lots of not-so-nice information and some good reviews. I am the type of person who likes to look up the facts myself, we all know how rumors and innuendo can hurt a reputation. The rumors include AKC sanctions (AKC has no recent records), AKC ban (again no recent records), able to co-own AKC dog (AKC won't distinguish), Schutzhund ban unless co-owned (haven't checked with them yet) and the list goes on. Apparently all this happened 10+ years ago. I find it interesting that all the rumors are identical (is this the power of rumors, they gain strength over time or is there some fact buried in the rumors?). This person has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience. My curiosity has now been piqued, is there some place or places I can look for myself to see if the rumors are based in any form of fact. I would hate to lose out on gaining more knowledge and experience but again, I am put off by all the negative publicity this person is receiving from many (not all say these negative things). I won't post this person's name, kennel or club.

Yes, but is it fact or fiction? If it is fact, where do I go to find the data? AKC is not the most forthcoming. If any of you want, you want, you can e-mail me at Mindhunterk9@gmail.com Again, I don't want to add to rumor if there is no fact, but on the other hand, if there are facts, I would like to know them.  Thanks

Try the AKC archives for the minutes.  The disciplinary matters are published with them every time.  If this is the person I am thinking of,  the AKC matter was a very serious sanction--and it was published.   You can also find it, if  you can get back issues of the AKC  Gazette.  IF  it is the same person, it was not  about schutzhund, it was Ring (banned from NARA).  You can verify that with NARA.

Can't find anything on the AKC Secretary's page that goes back further then 2002, any ides?
