German Shepherd dog

I'm kinda angry over this article.

K-9 officers should have the same police pension as a human police officer would get. When they get injured on the job... they have the right to get medical treatment regards to how much the treatment cost. When something happens to the dog, they should be taken care of for the rest of the dogs life, even when retired. I think it's sad how the medical bills are being handed over to the handler and expect the handler to pay fully for the surgery.

This should NEVER happen.

The dog deserves to be treated like the rest of the "boys" on the force.
