The Premier, Awesome brag : - } (12 replies)

Ok, so the Premier is the biggest UKC show in the United States each year. This is our second year attending it as competitors. Last year I showed Chaos at 13 months in conformation there. One judge one day said he didn't have a chest! The judge the next day said she wasn't a long coat lover! I can except both. He was young, and a lot of the judges don't like the look of a long coat. Yesterday when I got done showing him a friend told me that a lady wanted to talk to me after I got done with his obedience because she is a judge and has been breeding GSD's for a long time now and she would have picked Chaos over all of those dogs there, but said that I needed to learn how to handle my dog : - }. I was like kewl, I can except that, someone has to help me, lol. Any way, I met with her after obedience yesterday for 10 minutes. She told me that if I used what she told me in the ring, he would win it all today! I did use everything that she showed me in the ring today. Chaos took Champion class, AND he took Best Of Breed. Woooohoooooooo. It was awesome. We had people screaming and yelling with with everyone cheering right along with us that he won. It was awesome. Thank you to MaLinda Julien for her awesome advice. I now believe more in my self and my dog, and know that he will get his grand sooner than what I ever dreamed. And thanks to all of my friends that were there cheering us on. |

Thanks guys. The judge was Joseph Allen. He was a very nice judge for a change. Joked around with us etc. to calm us down if we were nervous. Wish you could have been there too Policemom. I met so many people from my forum and it was great. I believe we have 3 more wins to go for our Grand. Now that I have more of a clue lol on how to show him, I think it will come easier now. If we have enough champions in the ring which is hard to come by! Thanks again, Anna and Chaos.................. |

Hi Anna and Choas! You embarras me a little... but I do appreciate the kudos. I always want to help other people in the show and competition world, that is why I became a judge.
I really did cry tears of joy for you when you took the champions class. I know that when you went BOB it was a day made in heaven for you.
Anna, you keep believing in what we talked about, looking for heart and soul of your dog. You'll keep winning. Practice with your milk jug! LOL!
I am always here to help someone even if it means you beat me in the ring!
You working and import GSD people out there... be sure and show to me! :0
Anna, you are a super person and I so enjoyed meeting you. Thank you for trusting me with instruction for handling and for doing such a great job!
I'll see you in the ring! And hopefully I'll be judging and not looking at the backside of you with you and Chaos beating the pants off me!
Take care and I hope to hear from you often!
Go GSDs!!!!
yee ha!
Thanks Yellow Rose of Texas for the nice comments too! :0 I LOVE GSD people!

Awe I didn't mean to embarrass ya, lol. And thanks for the wonderful comments everyone. MaLinda you do deserve a lot of the credit for what we accomplished this past weekend and I'll never forget ya for that. You will hear your ears ringing a lot in the future, lol. You know, a lot of people on here don't believe in the UKC and don't consider anything that anyone does in the UKC a title of any kind no matter what it's for. But they aren't there competing and trying to earn those titles. And YES they are harder to get than what you people may think! Hell, it took us almost a year to get a win toward his grand! So no, it's not as easy as you think. I am very proud of my boy and what he accomplished this past weekend and I met a lot of awesome people, MaLinda being one of them. I will use her advice that she gave me every time I compete now, with Chaos and when I get my new pup. It all seems a lot easier than what I was even trying to make it. Thanks again MaLinda and see ya in the ring : - ) |
