We will be doing a live chat tonight on our forum if anyone is interested. We will be discussing all venues for The Premier, the biggest dog event in Kalamazoo, MI. held June 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th. They do everything from dog protection, agility, obedience, weight pull and obedience. Also dock diving this year. If you are the least bit interested, check it out. We always have a good time in there on our chat nights.
LOL, we do run a really clean forum. So far so good! No bashing what so ever and we have been going since Dec. Our forum is totally different than what goes on here! Give it a try, you may find it refreshing : - }
Poor SW, once again trolling for people to hijack over to her lonely pet forum. I'm not sure whether you are just rude, desperate or both. Either way, starting a thread on this forum begging for participation out of one side of your mouth then bashing this forum out of the other is not only very tacky, it's low - even for you. Get a clue, get some class, or just go away.
You know - with all the dislike set aside - these chats are actually useful - so far it's been the only place I have been able to discuss the Premier and the SDA in a chat environment with actual judges of both Conf and the Sport. We've had some good SchH discussions in the past as well.
Perhaps instead of the ridicule, you might consider that this kind of venue is very useful for the newb who perhaps wants to learn about these things but really hasnt had a chance to ask a volley of questions. This forum is a great place because of the sheer numbers and knowledge...but you can sort of get a more personal answer in that kind of chat environment as well.
SW only comes here to "advertise" her forum because in her tiny little warped mind she thinks she is stealing something from Oli and this board. If she were to try this stunt on a moderated board it wouldn't be tolerated because it's considered bad form and rude. I have seen other message boards start up and someone may post one thread telling others about a new board, but that's it, because anything else is exceedingly rude. SW has come to this message board many times to tell us about a "live chat" and at the same time make sure to get her cheap little digs in. She's rude and tacky and many of us are really tired of her little game.
The other thing I would like to add to what Sueincc said is most people when they advertise for a new board or live chat or whatever they generally do it in the ad section. I saw Arrakis said something to SW that didn't sound so friendly and she didn't get cursed. But because I said what I thought it made me an ass. Hell what's good for one should be good for all. And beiung as how she doesn't even know me I don't appreciate being cursed.
My fav is how she out and out incinuated Oli's new layout looks "familiar". Oli are you stealing SW's formats now? LMFAO, this is a pretty simple , standard layout. I have no idea if it looks like the other board or not, I haven't wasted time looking.

Ceph I was shooting for 3rd grade not highschool. I'm not heading a forum and no need to "keep up appearances". I just like giving SW a little nudge to show her true self. Doesn't take much to get her slinging the detention worthy words. Besides with all of her LOL's and hee hee's, you can see she likes it. All for the sake of "entertaining" herself.

I enjoyed the chat, and learned a lot about the differences between UKC and AKC/CKC. I also had a nice chat with CMCollies after the rest of you had gone to bed. REALLY nice lady!
Thank you for hosting the chat! There are very, very few shepherd fanciers in my area. (There's a big all-breed show 20 minutes from where I live today, and only ONE GSD is entered!) So, it's nice to be able to interact with other GSD owners, even if it's only online.
Oh yes, it's not like you aren't on the computer every day talking to GSD owners all over the net. I'm gonna go work my dog. Too bad you have nothing but an air head that can't work SW, but then it suits you.
Thanks Sunsilver. The dog beside Chaos is my avator is our mix breed, Downy. She's a rescue. She's almost 8 years old We got her when she was between 4 and 6 months old. She was very badly abused before we got her and she has come a long way with tons of obedience training and a lot of love. She did something that I never thought she would do in a million years, this past Oct. She passed the CGC test. She is very skitish and afraid of most noises still, but she did great with all of it. My instructor does a lot of noise conditioning before each class and I do believe it's helped her tons. We are told that she is German Shepherd / Chow / Sheltie. We see a little bit of all of them in her too. Expecially the dang sheltie bark! LOL. Thanks again for coming into the chat and I'll let ya know when we have the next one.

It's amazing what our rescues can accomplish with lots of love and TLC. My rescue GSD was terrified of water as a result of having been thrown off the end of the dock as a pup. I worked with him, taking him a short distance out into the water, then after a brief period, back to shore. At first, we just went chest deep. Then, deep enough he had to swim for a very short distance. Lots of praise, of course!
After a short training session, I let him relax on shore while i swam for a bit. I'll be darned if he didn't swim out to me! It was only about a 10 yard swim, but for a dog who'd been acting terrified of water a few minutes before, that was a tremendous accomplishment! I praised him to the skies, and swam right back in with him!
This was 2 years ago. Last summer, he and Star had a blast playing in the water in Georgian Bay! He still isn't crazy about swimming, but he's no longer afraid of water! Oh, and he'll duck his whole head under water to pick up a toy off the bottom of the lake!
That's awesome how you got him to not be afraid of the water as much any more. Glad to hear he's having fun now with it. A little bit of love and gentle handling does go a long way. Kudos to you for taking your time with it too.

Well I have 2 keyboards and both have the b and n next to eachother right above the spacebar. Sony Vaio and Compaq, foreign? Does America make anything anymore besides the most obvious, poorly bred dogs. Anyway your conversation is putting me to sleep. To stay motivated I'm going to go pull weeds. More thought involved in that, than sparing with you.
