WiscTiger- When I looked at the Dams pedigree I thought it looked ok, and my initial thought before opening the sires pedigree I thought well if the prospective sire has at least as good as the Dam's if not better then I would say perhaps it's "considerable" providing the dogs have been OFA'd and proven workers.  However when I looked at the Sire's side of the pedigree it was less than impressive IMO and I'm not an "expert" by any means but the only dog I saw worth anything was Stormfront and he's not as close up as I would have liked to see to help your prospective breeding.  Also too many untitled dogs in there; not that titles are the end all be all BUT when you see a pattern of so many it makes serious GSD folks pass on what may be a perfectly nice breeding.  JMO.

But at least you had the common sense to ask BEFORE you just went and did anything.  Most other's come here AFTER the fact and say "what do you think about my litter?"

Can I ask what makes you want to breed these 2 dogs?

Ofcourse my dam is way young to breed that's why the topic is POSSIBLE breeding If I do I will wait till she is 2 yrs old. Which now she is  too young to have her OFA certified as well.  I want to have all my dogs as therapy dogs therfore I don't do any working title work (I know what a waste) But I love european lines they have great everything all round dogs. My male is just a Delta therapy pet.He is the best dog ever has great temperment I get many compliments on him. 

Yes the pedigree is not complete But I did it fast just to get them in the system since there were several that weren't listed. and ofcouse no photos yet...

I have talked to Marcy of Landschaft keenels to straighten out my lines I can't help someone got a dog from the great Brawnson and did no title work . And way back he even has show lines so he had a little bit of everything and I found the lines I like and wanted to bring out in my sire. So yes I am taking my time to find something complimentary and for my purpose of having all round good quality family pets. No puppy mills.

Whoa, that is NOT a reason to not do "title work" or bitework if that's what you mea, if you just don't have interest in protection sports then fine...say so, but don't use Therapy work as a reason why you don't.  My dog is SchH3, Ret. Police K9, Temperament Cert. AND a certified and active Therapy dog....a good dog certainly CAN do both.  Molly's dog Eagle is also SchH3 and a Certified Therapy dog and there are others...those who have an interest in both venue's. 

IMO the stud you use for that bitch should be held to a higher standard, especially on paper.  You are just diluting her pedigree, where IMO the top side of a pedgiree should have just as much strength if not more than the bottom.

Not sure what that means...You can help it when you are shopping for the dog/pup.  If you know pedigrees and know quality from not, you will pass on what you don't want.    I'm no expert but I am trying to pass on what I've learned the hard way.  Years ago I got a female from German lines, at the time I thought she had a great pedigree because she had great dogs 3 and 4 generations back.  The more I learned the more I realized that I don't want grandkids and great grandkids of those great dogs, I WANT sons and daughters. 

So you have the dog, you love him, you can't help what the people before him did not do with their dogs.  So you will breed him anyway?  It sounds as if your mind is made up.  To each their own I guess.

Also, what GSDfan said about wanting sons and daughters of great dogs- I could not agree more. The first potential brood bitch I bought had a ton of titled imports in her pdeigree...4-5 generations back! I simply had not educated myself enough to buy a dog yet. SHe was grossly undersized, a structural disaster, and a total nervy wreck. And like a fool I bought the breeder's BS that she would be a great great dog for SchH and breeding. Within a year I had spayed and rehomed her.

haines- let your girl grow up, and when her hips and elbows clear and you have done something with her, shell out the stud fee for a much nicer dog, you'll be so glad you did.
