I'm sorry but I really hardly post on here anymore let along about a picture I just saw. I really hope this isn't animal abuse but it does look like it to me, and why in the world would anyone think this picture is alright to put up here? My mouth dropped when I saw this. Would like to know what everyone else thinks. Maybe it's not abuse but would like to hear from the people that own her. If they can't afford to feed her I will gladly take her in. unless someone is playing a very bad joke on picture's.

Shocking!  Why would anyone post a pedigree picture like that!  If they don't think that picture sends a red flag, it looks like a case for the ASPCA to me.

I did a quick check on Yahoo and found the GSDCA-WDA 2006 Show Results which shows a Britta vom Bethel and the owner was Josie Mariduena.  Don't know if it still is or not.

well if it is 2006  and VP rating the dog was under 1 year of age so this makes this dog about 3 years old  now.  Well a prank would not produce such a horrible picture :(((  This is an actual picture of some poor starving dog

Pia, yes it is a real pic of a real dog that is in desperate need of help.    I meant that if the actual picture was put in place of someone else's real dog as a prank.  Sorry to have confused my words.

This absolutely disgusting !!!.  There are no words that can describe the severity of abuse this poor dog is suffering !!!.

I do hope somebody can find and help the poor bitch if its not too late already !!!!.

If that is her on their site I wonder what on earth happened to her? It does look like she is trying to go potty in that picture as well.

I wish I knew of someone in that area to check out what is going on. If I ever got to the point where I couldn't take care of my dog's, I would find them a good home before I would ever let them get that way. This is truly very sad for this girl to be in this condition, and to live like that :-(

Oh come on people. No one in their right mind would post a picture like this on their own dogs pedigree. Someone else obviously put it there as a prank but still the picture is disgusting and sad. What missery that dog is feeling. I hope Oli can trace who put it up and do something about it.

I know Kelley but a few are witch hunting the kennel that owns the actual dog in the pedigree. I can't imagine someone doing such a thing to their dog. If nothing else put it down so it doesn't suffer like that.

WOW ... I figured it was a sick prank, the dogs didn't look the same at all.  That sick dog needs someone who cares, how do we track it down ?

I'm glad it's not Britta :-) but BabyEagle4u is right. The dog in that picture needs some serious help. It might just be to late for that dog too. I wouldn't have a clue on how to track this dog down.

we shouldn't have to go and keep checking to make sure are dog's pedigree has the right picture, it's just a shame that we have to do that. Just like that other so called data base that Oli posted on. Found out 3 of my dog's are on there and I've never been on there until I saw Oli's post.

Wasn't there a way to look, like at the history link, and you could see who was last changing info? I clicked on it already but it is only the owner. It would be a good idea to have that kind of feature or maybe a lock so nobody but the person who submits a pedigree and photo can change it.... poor dog whoever it was.

Yup-dog looks fine in pic at the GSD database link provided. Some of us didn't see what you all are talking about. Does anyone have it?

OOoooo. Now I've seen it. Wow. Poor thing. Looks like a show-line with the red pigment, but the condition is just abhoring. Poor thing. Poor poor thing.  Makes you wonder where the one playing the joke got the pic to begin with...their own kennel/dog maybe?
