To the Membership of USA:

First: permission to cross post the site for the online petition, GLADLY GIVEN!

Secondly: YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF UScA to SIGN THE PETITION

I have put together an online petition to make access easier for the membership. I will also have the petition in hard copy for those who want to use the petition for active live signatures. Please email me directly at DeesWolf@aol.com and I will email you the documentation for distribution.

There is a space on the online petition for your comments. Please feel free to use that space. I ask that we keep the comments civil so as not to cause insult to injury. Other than your name on the petition it is important to include your membership number to USA.  You can either add it at the end of your name or in the comments section.

I would like to thank all of the members for taking the time to go to the online petition, read, and whether or not you choose to sign, that is your choice. I hope that the membership would recognize the importance of what we are trying to accomplish. It is time for a change, and we can make that change. This is one of the, hopefully, many opportunities you will have in the months to come to stand up and be heard. I would remind all of the membership to make a point of attending your regional meetings and speak your mind. Attendance at the National meeting is important also!

Respectfully Submitted,
Dee Clark

Great idea, but I doubt it will happen while large showline kennels are still in existence.

If the UScA is tramping for entries from the large breeders that have the large entries, then why bother calling it a Siegershow?  Call it a "largest breeder show".  If they are concerned about losses, they should be concerned about losing their base which are the general membership.

Thank you Dee, I signed because it means alot to me to see something constructively done about the problem.  If I did not I would cheapen everything about what I believed in the breed I love so much.  I have seen Aussies show more drive and bite better, show more courage and drive than what I saw on those videos.

Brittany, although it is wonderful that you wish to show your support.....a signature without a membership to USA is not valid. As stated above in my original post YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF USA to sign the petition.

HOWEVER, we thank you for your support! If you want your signature on the petition to be vaild, please become a member.

I thank everyone who sees the importance ensuring that USA begins to be the guardian of the breed we say we are. It is time to hold the Executive Board of Directors, and the MEMBERSHIP accountable.

Thank you!

Dee

I would like to express concern in the inconsistency of judging in USA sanctioned events. I have now watched the 2008 Sieger Show by video and am appalled at what is allowed so that dogs may be rated highly. Most of the dogs in the Sieger show would not even be able to pass a local club trial in our region. As a USA member and supporter I feel like changes need to be made accordingly to save our breed and organization. Jack Martin

Dee, Kudos to you!! Your voice in this issue is especially valuable, because you are among the show-oriented portion of the membership. Perhaps this "call to arms" has more cedibility coming from one with show lines than it would otherwise. I would also sugest that USA members convey their concerns and ideas to the regional breed wardens because those regional breed wardens are members of the BAC drawing up the rules and procedures foe the show. Some (most?) are show folks who may have no inclination to se the rules enforced, or, worse, a personal disincentive. :-( They need to be held accountable, too.

I would like to personally thank each and every one of you who have already put your names and membership number to the petition. Some of you I have already been able to send a personal thank you to, because I have your email address. For those I do not have an email address for, PLEASE excuse that and KNOW that WE, the collective membership APPRECIATE your joining together to have your voice heard.

For those who have yet to step up and speak their mind, where it matters most: THE TIME IS NOW! We NEED your voice! PLEASE, do NOT let this GOLDEN opportunity pass us by!

THANK YOU!

Dee I too thank you and wish you good luck. I unfortunately had to let my membership lapse(economics) so can not sign it. But I hope that USA understands that there are those of us who have been members and will be again who are equally concerned.

I'd also like to remind board members that they also need to take these concerns to those who will be running the NASS as usually it is the same dogs that are shown in both shows. Let them know NOW that you want correct unbiased judging come fall and that their feet will be held to the fire.

First and foremost, I am a show line enthusiast, and have titled one to SchH 2 and another to SchH3, both HOT. I also own, train and compete with working line dogs. I have participated in a USA Sieger Show with one of my show line females who did excellent bitework. At that same show (Carson City), dogs were passed whose work was, at best, inadequate, and in many cases, absolutely pathetic. Yet they were also passed and judged as "pronounced" by this same judge.

The work displayed by the overwhelming majority of dogs at this years' show (and the laughable hustling of some of the handlers trying to hide the dogs inability to heel the required distance correctly) is evident to anyone who knows the rules and has ever trialed or watched a properly adjudicated trial or breed survey or Sieger Show protection routine. In each event my club has sponsored, our SV judges have strictly enforced the rules for trials and breed surveys. At a Sieger Show, just as in a club, regional or national level event, there is a level of competency that MUST be and should be displayed by the dogs. Further, when that is NOT demonstrated, the judge MUST have the courage and ability to see it is not correct and judge accordingly.

I call for the resignation of the head judge. He is apparently unable or unwilling to correctly judge the work required of the dogs. We need to start fresh again with people who will enforce the rules.

Finally, the organization as a whole MUST do more to help the clubs and members at the local level foster the correct assessment of temperament and working ability AND help foster proper training of dogs who are capable of the work. To this end, I suggest some videos be created that show proper work and place them on the USA website so all can see what is expected. Unless and until attention is shown to these issues, it is nothing but a hollow slogan that we are "for the German Shepherd Dog".

The DOJ is restricted by the rules and procedures established by the BAC. That is who is setting the rules, and the very low bar, for the Sieger Show.

The number of signatures is increasing, a good thing. I am more suprised by the names I don't see since some of the missing people are the ones who generally make the most noise here about following the rules and how very vital it is to only breed from breedworthy dogs who have met the test and excelled. I assume they are not members or have  decided to not reveal their names.

Can a list of of non UScA members be made as well?  There are many here that are not current members because of matters like this. Membership voices should be heard. However, I believe there is another larger voice from the GSD world that can contribute as well.

Stonehaus,

I think that is a good idea. Maybe it would USA an idea of how many members they might gain if it were shown the organization is responsive to its existing membership.

Currently, you can well imagine how full my plate is. Between phone calls, emails, posting, my job that supports my schutzhund habit, my dogs, training, the better half, and the pesky cat, my time is limited.

Creating a Petition at ipetition.com is very easy and does not cost anything.

To The Membership of USA:

We have an increasing amount of signatures, but we need more!! For those who have already taken the step to be heard and placed their name on the petition, I ask that you contact 3 people and ask them to sign the petition as well. We can create a tidal wave with this.  We are making a TRULY wonderful start. WE NEED MORE SIGNATURES. Yesterday, in less than 24 hours a hundred names were placed on that petition. The word is getting out, and we need to speak louder! Let's get 300 signatures on that list by midnight!

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/EnforcetheRules/

I consider the people who sign this petition TRULY the GUARDIANS OF THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG!

Greetings to the Membership!

I thought I would provide  you with an update on how the petition is going.

In less than 24 hours a hundred names were added to the petition. I think that is a very good accounting for the first 24 hours.

I have received numerous emails and telephone calls from many, who offer support, encouragement, differing views, and explanations of why they will not sign the petition. I have sent the petition document at the request of many, to be signed live. So, please do not think that because the online petition is slowly gathering support it is falling to the wayside. That is truly not the case. For every name added to that petition, our collective voice grows stronger!

I have emailed every officer in every region along with the club contacts in every region. Amazingly enough, for the emails that did not get caught in SPAM, I only had one Club Contact email me back saying to take them off my solicitation list. Tsk Tsk Tsk

I wish to thank those of you who have already added your name and comments to the list. Now, I set to you a fairly easy challenge. We all know we send emails back and forth daily to our club members and other clubs. So, take a minute to add the link of the petition to your email, and ask them to sign it. 100 signatures in under 24 hours, that is amazing! now if everyone who signed the petition talked to 3 other members and those members signed, we would have 10% of the membership of USA on the petition.

WE have already done a lot and there will be more to do in the coming weeks. Sorry, I will not let this fall to the wayside as it has in previous years. Apparently, there are over 100 other members, so far, who will not either.

So, with that said, STAND UP! SPEAK OUT! BE HEARD!

Sincerely,
Dee Clark

It is quite a paradox and a sad reflection on the organization when the membership of a Schutzhund club has to petition the executive board to enforce the rules.

The mission statement and goals of the UScA club from the front page of their website:

"We are dedicated to protecting and preserving the German Shepherd Dog's working heritage through Schutzhund training. Schutzhund is a sport that focuses on developing and evaluating those traits in dogs that make them more useful and happier companions to their owners.

The purpose of Schutzhund is to demonstrate the dog's intelligence and utility. It also measures the dog's mental stability, endurance, structural efficiencies, ability to scent, willingness to work, courage, and trainability."

This might be a good time for the UScA Head Judge to review the goals of the organization whose rules he is charged with upholding.

Most of the signatures lack a membership numer.  I don't know if this means that they are NOT USA members, or just neglected to add their membership number, or were afraid someone was going to be able to charge things at Home Depot with it.

Taken from MY original post on this thread,

"There is a space on the online petition for your comments. Please feel free to use that space. I ask that we keep the comments civil so as not to cause insult to injury. Other than your name on the petition it is important to include your membership number to USA.  You can either add it at the end of your name or in the comments section."

The lack of the membership number does not render the signature invalid. It just means before I submit the petition print out to the EB, I will be emailing the signers and requesting their membership numbers.

A BIG THANK YOU to those who have stepped up and put their name to the petition! It is rather telling if you take a look. For those have yet to finally put some real voice behind their complaints, we certainly are looking forward to seeing name AND membership number on the petition.

This is not an OUR side THEIR side endeavor, this is about what is RIGHT and what is CORRECT.

Dee, I just received my April issue of the German SV magazine.  In it, the National Breed Warden Reinhardt Meyer clearly outlines the criteria in which he will be judging the working male class this year at the BSZS.  Besides height, it is the work and the article goes into considerable depth about this.  I guess enough is enough!

Trailrider,

This petition doesn't have a time limit, other than we have a sieger show coming up in another year. You can join UScA, sign the petition and as soon as you are issued a membership number, contact me and I will add it to the petition, hand written of course.

As long as USA can verify your membership, and YOUR VOICE, that is all that matters!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I really mean that!

I am receiving emails and private messages from people who didn't have their numbers when they put their name to the petition. I will definitely add the numbers to the petition before it is sent to the EB, when the time comes. I am sure it will be easier for the EB to verify membership.

WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!

I need another translation favor. What is the German word or equivalent for what we refer to as "midnight trials"? When I discussed this in an email with my friend in Austria, she did not understand and asked me the meaning of the expression.

Hello!

I signed the petition, but I am not a member. Is this only for USA Members to sign? OR Is this  for ALL PEOPLE that are worried about the FUTURE of the German Shepherd Work ethic, and temperament, to stop the few people who can pay their way to achieve a title which in reality, is a lie, and then sell a pup at prices that are way out of this world, because of the so called "TITLED PARENTS".

Sue, correct you should have a UScA membership to put your name to the petition.

MORE IMPORTANTLY this is NOT ABOUT SHOW vs WORKING, this is about the organization that we belong to NOT following its OWN  rules of the sieger show as stated on the website, to the membership, and the world.

The Organization proclaims this statement on the home page of the website;

Welcome to the United Schutzhund Clubs of America

where our membership is "For the German Shepherd Dog"

Well, you know what? The Membership is PROVING THAT, too bad the officals are NOT!!!

Okay, time to actually make those words mean something. If they are words to live by, then the organization NEEDS to promote, enforce, and EDUCATE about the Rules of the Sieger Show and ALL the other RULES it pulls out of a hat. The sieger show is a large event, that has the attention of literally thousands of people, mostly those who own, and love the breed for its utility. Where was the utility at this year's show?

We talk a lot about Kennel Blindness, well, the officials in the organization have show line blindness. We need to help them open their eyes, and SEE that their CONTINUED refusal to enforce the rules of the sieger show, continues to promote sub par training, performance and temperament. It is all called into question now. Frankly, it is rather obvious that the officials are hoping we will forget that this occurred.  Dee will get bored with this and go back to complaining on all the forums about how show line dogs lack the working ability. Well, yes, Dee does do that, but Dee also knows there are many show lines who can work, do, and show it! Too bad when those dogs do, they get the same declaration of pronounced and outs that other dogs get, who do NOT deserve it.

It seems to be "they" proclaim change at a whim and expect the working dog membership to "cowboy up" and follow the rules, usually with notice at the event. WE HAVE A WHOLE FREAKIN' year until next year's show. Come on! Give us (and I mean US, I have show line)  folks some credit! The expectation is that the rules will be followed, the expectation is that the rules will be enforced. Seriously, it is two simple exercises. Heeling to the Attack out of the Blind, drive, out, guard. Run for a courage test, engage WITH COURAGE, and Energy, HOLD ON, OUT, guard!  Please, don' t even get me started about the defition of pronounced! Hey, maybe that is a discussion we should have as well. Maybe we can educate the officials as to what it really means.

I seriously, do not understand why some people think that the way the show has been judged for so many years is acceptable. Talk about a Santa Claus!

The time is NOW to make a change! Put your name, MEMBERSHIP NUMBER, and your comments on the petition! SPEAK UP!

~Dee

Every day I read the list of signatures fully expecting to see those of certain members of this board and other GSD breed boards, the breeders who are always the first to brag about their dogs and how important is to fairly test  dogs before they are used for breeding. They always say they subscribe to and never fail to adhere to the SV rules. I'd think they would be the first ones to want to make sure the bar is raised high enough so that a TBS means something.  Still looking, maybe they are the ones who are anonymous? Or maybe their names aren't there because they have litters out of or own some of the SS VA dogs that didn't look quite so impressive this year?

Some walk the walk, while other just talk the talk.

Even  if some people were perhaps lax themselves regarding the rules, it is certainly not too late to recognize there is a need for change, sign this petition and move forward,  for the good of our beloved breed.

Blitzen, I read what you stated above this morning, and actually thought about it most of the day while I was at work, wishing I was at training. ( I hate being the boss sometimes!)

I came to several conclusions, none seemed to make sense though. I would think the members who have yet to sign, know they should, probably want to, and may still sign. I am seeing an increasing amount of integrity in the membership. I hope it splashes over to the EB. I think in time it will, and maybe within this same process, those who have yet to ADMIT they agree with the petition, will add their name.

I am pretty impressed already with those who have added their name, and more so with those who have emailed me the membership number they mistakenly left off(that is a BIG help to me!)

Everyday the number of names increases. It would be nice to increase substantially, but it is still increasing. I hear that there is a LOT of discussion about this on a few forums I do not frequent.

Again, I remind USA membership to KEEP in mind what this particular petition is about. It is about the rules that have been in place but not followed in regard to the USA Sieger Show. We all know there are other areas of the organization that need reformatting, so to speak. I appreciate that many members are bringing up these other areas. It is not that I find those areas any less deserving of the attention than this petition, it is that I do NOT want the intent of this petition lost in the overall outcry for correction.

Someone mentioned to me in an email that what I was doing was Futile, things will stay as they are. I thought about that, and realized things ALREADY are changing. The membership is working together to make a change, and to present to the EB, that what has been accepted previously, is NOT going to be acceptable now.

I think there comes a time when any higher level management realizes a mistake has been made, and that they have to find a way to work it out with the membership. I think that time is arriving.  We have really only begun our endeavor to bring forth the change. We have a really good start. I am encouraged and I believe others are as well.

It is not too late to add your name and your membership number to the petition.

Trailrider,

They can sign, and when they find their membership number, they can email me with it and I will hand write it onto the petition before it goes to the EB.

Apparently, some games are afoot!

Today is another day! A good day to add your name and membership number to the petition! Discussion continues on this, and it has been very good discussion. We are very encouraged that the names continue to be added.

One might determine by looking at the list of names why some names are not there. I think we can safely determine that there are a folks who still think that the only way some dogs will make V or VA is if the rules are not followed. That to me is more telling than anything else. It is very sad when one's own integrity has a price, dignity and respect. Plus, all of that is at a cost of the breed, the breed we are guardians for.

Let's continue to have good discussions, spread the word, and remind people because the RULES have been IGNORED and we have sat complacent about it, we are just as guilty. Now we have an opportunity to do something about it. Why wouldn't you add your voice to the effort?

Dee

It has been brought to my attention from a few people that when they were at the petition site to add their name, they were asked for a donation. That has to do with ipetitions and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with this petition/USA/or me! You can click right through that. I believe there is a spot on that pop up that says no, you click that and it takes you where you need to be. Some folks are getting it and some are not.

Again, I repeat, there is no requirement of a donation to add your name to the petition!

Thank you to those who have pointed out that it might be causing some people not to add their name. VERY GOOD POINT!

If anyone is concerned about that, you have another option. You can email me with your NAME, MEMBERSHIP NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS, and any comments you want added, and I can do it, so you avoid the harassment of the donation pop up!

I am disappointed in the fact that only 200 people have signed this petition. The hundreds who come to this site and say they are here for the breed and they want this and that. This is the right time to stand with others and make a statement. Fill out the form! You do not have to donate. Just click next. This is a chance for everyone to have some oversight on what is going on in these so called trials of the German Shepherd Dog. Send this petition out to other USA members and stay on them if you know they feel the same way.   People around the world are laughing at us because of this mockery of a trial now on video to see. This is about the breed and the future of the UScA organization.

I have been the black sheep for years in this sport and that includes among show people.  I had only show dogs and was fighting tooth and nail to bring some sense to working line fanatics who railed against the show line dog, regardless of whether it could or could not do the work. No one supported me in any way. If one speaks out, you are in trouble, one way or another. That is why some people won't sign. But........

Now, most of what you are observing with the lack of some who clearly should be on that petition is the fact of the matter. The FACT IS, that the show line people are ignorant or complacent or both. They actually like the status quo. And besides, if they speak out, they speak out against their own dog/s poor work in so many cases. So what happens? When they have an opportunity to speak up on an issue of vital importance, about what is and is not acceptable work and enforcement of existing rules, they remain silent. It does not take a genius with a supposed (yes ask me if I believe it) IQ of 160.  Because it is NOT in their interests to actually train so that a given dog can do the work. It is only about one thing and that is money. Show and rank high, and sell lots of dogs....who cares if it is a dog with a temperament akin to some other breed.

Those whose names are missing from that petition are blatantly evident. Do I think anything will come of the petition? Frankly, based on 9 or so years of membership in this organization, NO I do not. Why? Well, that is another story altogether and my time is limited as I have dogs to train. But for people to stand back and not speak up or stand up shows just how corrupted the entire system is. Further, it suggests those who have not signed like it just the way it is as well. A few don't know better or simply just want to work their dog and have fun and/or they do not give a hoot about any of this or the politics.

I can make a list of those in this region and who post on this web site with a lot of BS who have show line dogs and who always BS to say how much they think a dog should work, how good their dogs are etc., but they are not here. Maybe all of us should start posting those names and, and as in some prior threads, "call them out". Then you will really have some fun as they try to justify why they won't speak up.

Signing anonymous is not helpful either. Either have the cajones to speak up and be counted, or don't. Anonymous gets you nowhere.

Finally, I guarantee that there will be repercussions from this. Not only will the person who took and posted these videos be roundly criticized, but so will the person beginning the petition, and yes, sadly, if you signed your name, you will hear about it from the "good ol' boys and girls" in one way or another.

This is such an important issue, and even working line folks should be here signing and are not. It is about one thing....the requirements for the protection work and even-handed enforcement of the rules.

It is a pathetic state of affairs.

"Maybe all of us should start posting those names and, and as in some prior threads, "call them out". "

Hodie, your quoted statement above is NOT what I think should happen nor is it what I want to happen. No one's hand should be forced into adding their name. It is a choice. Either you believe the Rules have not been followed, or you do believe they have been followed, or you do not have an opinion.  I personally, do not want to see a posting of names that have not signed. I am more interested in the names that will be added, BY CHOICE, and we will see that increase, I am sure. Besides we know who has signed and who has not.

It has been pointed out to me by someone I have great respect for, that I have probably typed a few things, that although I believe them, I have probably cut off my nose to spite my face. (My words, not their's) When the discussion of this began there were a few of us who said, yes, let's do a petition, let's get the word out and help make change. That is still the intent. I do believe, since it has been pointed out to me, I may have let my personal passion for the breed and the working of the breed, lead me to say and type things I probably should not have, all for the purpose of encouraging others to sign.

We did not want finger pointing, name calling and such. Even I have gotten carried away. As often as I reminded others that the reason of the petition was to bring attention to the Rules not being followed. We hoped we would be able to bring about change. This is about the rules not being followed, that hasn't changed. I changed, I became more aggressive, and typically, that is not who I am.  My sincerest and deepest apologies to anyone who thought I was personally attacking them.

"Finally, I guarantee that there will be repercussions from this. Not only will the person who took and posted these videos be roundly criticized, but so will the person beginning the petition, and yes, sadly, if you signed your name, you will hear about it from the "good ol' boys and girls" in one way or another."

I debated long and hard over whether or not I would post the petition. When I realized I would have a hard time looking at myself in the mirror if I did not stand up, I knew I had to. I, too, have been complacent over the years and knew the rules were not followed. I did not stand up then. The repercussions? well, everything has repercussions. Look where being complacent has gotten us.

All we wanted is for the rules to be followed. That is still what we want, what I want.

 Dee.

I have no intention of posting names, but they know who they are and they are not true guardians of the breed. I have already heard much about the videos being posted. I have already heard about your posting the petition. So the bottom line is, yes, this will do NOTHING and it will have been a wasted effort, once again. Complacency IS the name of not only this game, but American society in general. There are no consequences any more. Everyone wants something for nothing, and few have any ethics.

As for your statement "It is a choice. Either you believe the Rules have not been followed, or you do believe they have been followed, or you do not have an opinion." There are other options.... but I will drop it.

As plenty of people have and will continue to point out, rules are not rules in this organization. Want to bet? I would bet that you do not get 400 names out of 4000 members. Why? Not because your cause is not just, but because of all we have already stated and agreed upon.

Your passion, my passion, I guarantee you, is defined very differently than the majority involved.

A challenge? I like a challenge! I bet others do as well.

Hodie, I hear what you are saying, and I have heard the words of others as well. Folks have said very similar things as to what you have said. I just find the complaceny very hard to accept. Any step toward improvement is progress. I lost sight of that for a day or two.

It might not change like you say, but the membership numbers might.I am not sure about this but I have heard that the membership used to be close to 8,000. Is this true. If so, it is already half of what it used to be and dropping fast. That will make them think some more if the organazation folds because of this. These issues we are speaking about are why many don't renew.I know many at our club ask why we request for them to be UScA members. We don't have do to this and we might not if things don't change.

This is all well and good I evened signed my self, but lets be realistic this is a venture in futility, Now if you wanted to do something real you should contact all the usa club contacts and discuss there feelings on this issue if enough are of the same mind then at the national meeting the club reps should all speak up with one voice and condemn this type of thing that happened right in front of the S.V. member who will be there as a guest demand a explanation and don,t allow the big money folks from poo pooing it under the table. The problem with USA is it,s  got too many cooks in the kitchen, A over sized board of directors none of which have the nerve or spine to stand up and call out the problem that this is about the GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG WORKING ABILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . The standard has been slipping for years in the show and working ring both you can directly blame this on 2 things #1 the S.V. #2 MONEY that pretty much packs it in a nut shell lower the standard so more weaker dogs can get into the survey watering down even farther the gene pool conformation dogs so head heavy and ass tuck rear they could jump a 2 inch hurdle if there lives depended on it and tell me these dogs could run all day with a herd (there original function) . Now i,m no great breeder or competitor hell I still get sick to my stomach  just trying to get my dogs titled at trials and you will never see me on the podium but it,s the grass roots people out there that train there dogs from puppies go thru the full life cycle of the dog from birth to death and struggle to succeed with there dogs that need to stand up and say ENOUGH IS A ENOUGH we control our organization not the elite few who attempt to rule us and destroy our breed in the outcome. Heres my suggestion everyone start contacting the club contacts in your region make sure they agree with you then start calling your regional directors and make sure they understand the problem and that they are planning to do something about it at the National meeting and remind them if they don,t well then they won,t be Regional Directors any more, Then at the meeting put the S.V. rep on the spot about there judges behavior as judges and don,t  forget asking where our judges were at during this event. I,d rather see a smaller organization with better intent  then a larger organization bent on the destruction of the breed.

Maybe the membership decides that the rules should be changed. Any thoughts?

It is NOT the place of the helper to report to the judge. Rather, it is up to the judge to be certain he/she has a good enough vantage point, or MOVE from one spot if necessary, to see what the hell is going on with the dog. And a helper can be instructed to drive a dog in any direction making it easier for a judge to view. At least one dog that did piss poor work here also was in the BSZS and failed there. But, geez, you should have heard the excuses then.

I guess it is time for those beautiful show dogs to go back to sheep herding test intead of protection test before the show. Is that what they were bred for? how many sexy girls with beautiful mind you can find nowaday? how many people would choose mind over look? If you can't stand a show dog that can't bite, fine, get a working one; just like me:-)
