If I understand what your asking I would say that how an animal moves for the most part is inherited.   Certain movement can be refined maybe but your question is kind of vague.

Inherited. I have never seen an ugly mover suddenly move nicely, even with all the practice in the world.

IMO some minor movement faults can be improved with correct conditioning, but the the most part, it's in the genes.

What would be considered a minor movement fault?

I'd consider a minor movement fault that might be helped with conditioning  - a dog with a topline that does not remain firm during gaiting; a dog that moves a bit  too wide in front; a dog with a restricted reach or drive.  A dog that is overweight or one that has poor muscle tone will always benefit from correct conditioning, but it will probably never be a flawless mover.

A good mover is born not made they are a joy to train as you don't have to teach them anything.  As stated you can improve but it's never the same. The walking is effortless and the fast gaiting even better.  You know when you have a good one!! What you do need is attitude you can have the best moving/ contructed dog in the world but it's no good if the dog does not want to do it.  I want the dog to go in the ring with the " don't look at the others as I'm here now" out look.
