Hi all!

Just thought I'd share the good news. Just got my baby girl's OFA results back today. She was already a normal hip and elbows at a year. She's now three.

She was OFA Excellent on the hips And OFA normal on her elbows.

I knew that she would be at least OFA good, but of course I was hoping for Excellent too, as I guess we all do. :)

Congrats!!! I know I was estatic when I received my girl's OFA Excellent rating. =)

Fantastic news. This very excellent hip rating places your GSD in the top 3% for hips according to OFA statistics so far. Having normal elbows is a great thing too ! I'd like to know the pedigree and if you have any idea where such excellent joint health is coming from. Whaty is your opionion of the source of the good joint health ?

Congratulations!! My boy who has passed was an excellent! When I opened the envelope I am sure my eyes were like those cartoon eyes that extend out of your head. Great feeling! I had him re-xrayed at 8 years old too and they looked as good as at 2 years!

Yes congrats Rezkat! I was in a room by myself jumping up and down when my girl came back excellent.I didn't know who to call.Sort of funny to get that excited huh? It is hard to believe that gets you in the top 3%.

YES!!!! is what I said I believe! I guess that it's the little things in life that make us happy. I knew that she didn't have bad hips, just didn't know how good that they really are.

Not only are the hips excellent, that is about the best hip xray I've ever seen. The protocol for perfect positioning. Anyone wanting to educate themselves about how a hip xray should be positioned should copy this one. Cheers to your vet and his staff and of course to you and the breeder.
