Rule of thumb: a male needs to reach half his final weight by 4 months. He should weigh between 34 - 48 pounds at that time. Females should hit 1/2 at 16 weeks. She should weigh 30-42 pounds at that time.
From 8 weeks until about 7 months, they need to grow 2- 3.5 pounds a week. After that, they slow a lot.
At 7 months, they should be one inch short of final height at withers.
