Hi Kenny, can you post the knees too? The positioning is not great, the hips may be good.

I agree that positioning could be much better, but the quality is apparent. I'll vote for an O.F.A. preliminary finding of "Good" or an S.V. finding of  "a" Normal when the bitch is of sufficient age. I will add that the veterinarian needs to do a better job for the radiograph that will be sent for submission.

Xray could be better; the positioning is off and the  exposure is bad. However, IMO good to excellent.  Due to quality of xray, she might not get excellent. I'd send the first one if she were my dog. Agree with Bob-O, if you want the best rating you can get on her, you're going to need a much better film. Hips like these on a dog of mine would make me very happy .

I certainly cannot judge the elbows, as the ones posted look perfect to me and my idea of perfection is obviously different than that of the O.F.A.. I certainly do not have their expertise and specialized equipment as the interpretation of the elbow radiographs is much more difficult than that of hip radiographs.

I have examined a lot of hip radiographs, but very few elbow radiographs. With the letter I know what features for that to look, but the fine points critiqued by the O.F.A. are extremely difficult for me to spot.

Bob-O

I know they look for flaps of cartilige and also something that looks like fraying in the cartiledge (I should post my kneecap radiographs to show ya'll what that looks like O.o)

I can't remember what the third thing is...but I dont see either of the above in those xrays, nor any kinds of signs of Pano...they look good to me :)
