New owner: What do the codes mean? (7 replies)
|
|
We have just acquired our first pedigree GS and have been given what looks like a pedigee but it is only in German and Bulgarian which adds to out trouble understanding the codes used on the form. Can / will anyone assist please?
Something which may be to do with "evaluation": Kkl.1; V, SchH2, DNA; SG IRK Korkl.2; SchH3 FH; SchH1; VA "a"zuerkant Lebenszent; V Korkl.1 JU; 3xCAC; 1XCACIB; Korkl.1a IP01
Something which may be to do with Colour and making: SbrA
If you can't help me directly perhaps you could direct me to somewhere where I can find them for myself.
Thankyou

What did the importer of the dog tell you about the dog? |
|
|
|
|
| the link given will tell you that Sch = schutzhund. It has 3 levels, 1,2 and 3.
KK1 and KK2 are the korklasse ratings of dogs in the pedigree. It means that those dogs were breed surveyed. Kk1 means recommended for breeding and 2 suitable. Neiither really means much, other than the dog was surveyed because of the politics of shows and surveys.
The "VA", "V" and "SG" are show ratingsVA is "select" at a national Sieger Show. V = excellent and SG = Very Good.
The markings notations indicate whether the dog has a mask, is saddle-marked, etc
CAC and CACIB are show references to shows held by particular organizations. |

Thanks, that makes it much clearer, but what might SbrA mean as a colour or marking.
All the breeder told us was that the puppy was bred in Bulgaria, the father (Hagdahl's Arex - SZ 2008846) was bought in Germany for 1,500 Euros. We saw his mother and father (and his older brothers).

Oh, I see. I thought you were talking about your dog, I didn't realize you got a puppy and were wondering about titles of dogs in the pedigree. Sorry for the confusion. |

sbrA means black with brown markings, it is the usual color breeders enter when they are talking about black and red showlines. s-schwarz-black br-braun-brown A-Abzeichen-markings g-gelb-yellow gr-grau-sable
and a few other color Abbreviations include toemarks, mask, etc. |
