The dog in the movie "I Am Legend" (13 replies)
|
|
| Just out of curiosity does anyone know anything about the dog (or dogs)
used in the new movie "I Am Legend"? I haven't seen the movie my self
but all the promos show the main character actor Will Smith with a GSD
as his only companion in this post apocalyptic flick. I'm sure there is
some mention of it in the credits but even if I did go see the movie
I'd never see what I was looking for (I'd have to wait for it to come
out on DVD so I could pause it, LOL). Any info on the trainers, handlers
or dogs would be cool.
Thanks |

| I liked the dog very much. She was a bitch. The movie was morbid and sucked as usual of the most recent flicks. Same Hero for humanity crap. I primarily went to see the Shepherd. It was cool watching it do the treadmill. Will Smith was much better off in Prince of Bel-Air days.
cheers

| I went and saw I Am Legend tonight. I normally really like Will Smith and everyone everywhere was talking about the dog. The fact that the dog is only in the first half or so of the movie and that the rest of the movie was full of psychotic stuff was a bit too much for my blood. I was a little disturbed that more people were upset by the fate of the dog then the fate of humanity, though of course it's all fiction. I just really kind of wasn't in the mood for the movie or something, didn't like it at all, and this time not even my fave breed of dog being in it could make up for it. I'm usually in the minority in my tastes of movie but I prefer nice fluffy stuff that gives me a break from the worlds craziness. Sometimes a bit of drama even, maybe a documentary or chick flick or two. This one was just a bit too much for me even with the dog. Though she was a cute girl, definitely a rescue, but great expression. |

| I don't do horror films. Especially depressing, post-apocalypse horror films. Even if the dog were the reincarnation of Rin Tin Tin or Lassie, I'd give this one a miss. |

| Funny thing. There was a review in our local paper the other day for this movie. In it (while he wasn't over-wild about the movie), the reviewer said in passing that the dog had the greatest presence since Lassie!
Better than all those mutts (Benji) and Labs and St. Bernards (Beethoven)? :D |

Just curious and would love to be enlightened. This thread has 6100 views and yet the thread I posted re Nemo needs your help had a big whole 254 views and much less response. Come on folks Nemo's post is about the REAL world and work against the Animal rights interests not the make believe world. Where are your priorities???
I just don't get it. Then you wonder why we get tired of trying to fight your battles for you and stop. |

Because maybe, just maybe, some of us have seen the info about Nemo and Petpac all over the web, and maybe, some of us have already voted for him..... BTW, I resent the royal "we" that is 'fighting" battles for me. Lack of clicking on a link on a messageboard does not necessarily indicate being apathetic to the increase of animal rights based animal legislation. |
