Good morning everyone, So we had our Peik and Enosch litter last year, all pups placed. We made all pup buyers sign and agree to have pups Trained and have time for them, No excuses.

However a week ago one of the owners contacted me saying they need help, their schedule changed to a full 8-10 hour days, and their son starts primary school in the new school year. They have little to no time for him anymore...They said that they would be clad to get him a new home with our blessing. So we went to go see him yesterday, he is bored out of his mind!!! He is getting rambunctious being left alone so much.

We agreed that he needs to be rehomed to someone that has the time for him and that can give him the attention and training he needs.

My biggest problem is getting him a home with someone that does not see a pedigree but a dog that they would love and work. But all they see is the pedigree and EVERY single person wants him for breeding...they don't even ask to see pictures of him or how he is...

He is 6 months old, house trained, has some petsmart training (NOT considered training by us) and he is great with children, great with grooming as we started that at 4 weeks old, will let you trim nails no issues. He is not a bad dog, he just needs attention and training.

My question is: is their a place where I can look for a new home for him that would either use him as a personal protection dog, IPO or service dog? or at least someone that would take him for schutzhund training....

I did contact our local Schutzhund club, waiting to hear if I am alowed to post him with them.

Any info would be great!!

He would be Free to someone that would provide him with the training and attention he deserves.

What I see from the picture he is a pet quality male. I think what happened here the owners decided to get rid of him because he may not have the drive, nor conformation to compete in the shows. Pedigree does not guarantee that the dog will be the same like the father or mother. Saying that, not every puppy from the same litter will be showman or SCHH prospect. Only few will be suitable for shows and training, rest will be just pets, companion. I had many puppies imported over the years from many VA dogs from Germany with dream pedigrees. Do you think all of them were excellent. Then you would be surprise that more than 50% were just pet quality. Look at those VA males in Germany. They getting 100 breedings a year each. Producing hundreds puppies each of them. Can anyone tell me how many of their offspring make to the top in the show ring ? Only few. I seen many garbage puppies from VA dogs, and seen super nice puppies from dogs outside of VA group. Yes is easier to sell puppy from VA father, but is this pappy necessarily better then coming from other males with also impressive pedigree ??? Secondly to me mother is more important then the father. She gives more to the puppies than the father. He can complement, improve few shortcomings in the bitch. You want to breed nice ,sound puppies start with choosing and investing in the best bitch you can buy. There is not many really genetically dominant males like were Remo,Vegas, Zamp, Tyson which are producing offspring uniform and in their type. This is my personal opinion, everyone can disagree with me or not. happy Sunday everyone.
