Hey all,

After 10 years of having an AST dog in our house, him and my dad are moving away. I have decided to get a good Working Line GSD, but i am not familiar with the prices.

I am located in Eastern Europe and i am looking at breeders in Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia (not really interested in their working line) etc. What should i expect to pay for a good puppy? By good i mean with good bloodline and from a legit breeder.

edit: Good breeder recommendation are welcome.

I recently paid 600 euros plus shipping for a super nice puppy. But, I had pretty good connections for that. That was in CZ. I would say the going rate is between 650-1000EU. I would steer clear of Hungary if possible, Serbia at all costs. If you would like a referral to a good breeder in CZ, let me know.

I second Jenni's post, you can find really nice lines for 600-1000euros in Czech Republic, and lucky for you, you won't have to pay for expensive shipping! We're getting a pup soon that is 700euros from Slovakia.

@jenni78

I talked to two breeders and the price for the puppy only was 750 from marsyas kennel, they were pretty nice in their responses, and 1000 euros from Orrylordblack. Are these breeders reputable?

 Shipping costs from 150 to 450, that's what they told me. I am located in Kosovo.

Would you mind sharing the breeder you got your pup from?

I will send you a PM. I HIGHLY recommend Krasnoocko. He speaks no English, but is super honest and has wonderful dogs. I have 3 from Krasnoocko. He is breeding his 9th generation of females, so he's not breeding dogs just to sell one generation of puppies. He utilizes a co-own network of people who all seem to train together. My pups arrived impeccably clean, were clean in their crates, and had excellent temperament and nerves. Seemed like the whole Krasnoocko team was waiting for word that all the pups who shipped out made it to their destinations safely. Every fifteen minutes or so, I would get messages checking whether I had received them yet.

I was sent photos of the pups often, and they did a lot with them. There were photos of them on leash, in the house, in the crate, in the car, etc. Both pups have excellent drive. One is more aggressive than the other and more dominant but both have good nerves and are just really nice dogs all around. I had 2 friends also buy pups from the same litters and both are as happy as I am. And,I have met the other pups. You get what you ask for. So, be careful what you wish for :)

Look up Envy, Delaney, and Beauty Krasnoocko. They are all mine.

Anyone else got any good breeders they can recommend in these countries?

I'll give a second "shoutout" to Krasnoocko. I've never dealt with the breeder directly, but I've met a handful of dogs from him that are stellar and only heard good things about his program.

I have bought several dogs from Herby in Czech Republic who posts under Duke1965. All of the young dogs have been excellent and I know he occasionally has pups for sale.

Aritar Bastet, Panta Rei, Herby( known as Duke on this site) and Jinopo.

Totally forgot Duke was in CZ.

Yeah, check with him, too!
