Hello All Today I thought I was buying $227.00 of clothes from site listed above, I paid by credit card and within 10 min advised my bank credit card I was dealing with a scam company. I wanted to post this information here so that NO others see the POP UPS and get scammed.

Their ads do show a LOT of really cute stuff, don't they?

I came *this* close to placing an order with them after seeing their ads elsewhere on the web, 'cause they showed a pair of shoes that I absolutely love...but I did a web search first, and found out the same thing you've learned. But for an ultra-suspicious nature, I would have been in the same position as you...so hopefully your bank was able to reverse the charge, and other members of this site won't fall victim to their ads either!

I don't even consider buying anything from pop-up ads, as the very nature of a pop-up ad makes me suspicious of the product. But then, I am naturally suspicious of a lot of things on the net, and have also had lots of internet-security training through my work. Sorry to hear you got burned, and hopefully you can get your money back, but if you want to be cautious I would suggest changing your credit card as it may be compromised by your transaction.

my suggestion is to use a browser that blocks pop up ads. I have yet to see an ad from this site.

the scams are getting so sophisticated that it is really difficult to spot them. I just recently changed phone service and was 1 click from providing my info to "pay my last bill". the email/ website looked 100% authentic, thankfully, I took a close look at the "sender".

if you get an email supposedly from any provider asking for any personal info or credit info, trash it. the scammers make it look very real and even use the legit company name in their scam.

jmo,
Rik

I just read Oli's post on adblockers and the issues he is having keeping this site "free".

it is sad that the governments of the free world are selling so quickly to provide only "approved" "purchased, paid" content to their countries.

Don't want to come across as a smart ass but I have never been scammed and guarantee I never will be, I'm waaaaaay to suspicious of everything and everyone!!! Further more and this might not go down well, I can not understand how anyone can get scammed and fall for all these scams/scammers. It never ceases to amaze me when I hear of someone being scammed out of thousands how they fell for a scam!!!

I get scam phone calls at my business and at home all the time. I get calls saying your electricity will be turned off in half an hour if you don't call such & such a number etc.

Last week I got a call saying my social security number was suspended. LOL

I usually don't even answer, if I don't recognize the number on caller ID.

Sometimes when it's slow I answer and bust their stones.

Hi Mountain lion good to see you around, hope you are well.

Yes I get calls like that and emails and like you I sometimes give them the run-around. Emails?? I just laugh and delete.

Hi Darcy, I'm fine thanks for asking. Hope things are going well for you.

Funny this post was about a scam. I got a call two days ago from Bank of America asking me if I wrote a check to some Bimbo in Arizona for over $3,800.00.

I had sent a small donation to St. Judes Hospital for children, evidently she got hold of the check and altered everything, then cashed it.

End of story they put the amount back in my account and cancelled the check. Never had anything like this happen before.
