Hundmutter: I understand your post however the "new" people that commented are highly regarded people in the breeding and competitive/training arena that took the time from their day to join and post to be able to do so. Have a nice day.

True, Hundmutter, but there's a big difference between people making new identities or signing up just to post anonymous opinions/back-up a breeder and people catching wind of someone highly respected that they think got a raw deal, posting as "real" people and not trying to hide their ID. Most highly-respected competitors don't hang out on PDB.

To be clear, I am not taking sides, here. I don't know Rick personally but have never heard a negative word about him. I have communicated with the OP a few times over the years but do not know him personally, either. I just wanted to point out the issue with vet bills paid by seller and also the fact that MANY reputable people well-known in the working dog world are not on PDB and that does not make them less credible.

Jenn, I do not disagree with any of that. Was just trying to answer kuanti's question !
(Which, unless I am going totally bonkers, was not quite as it is written now, when I saw it. Should have screen shot it !)

Everybody : please try to remember this is an international board - not everyone has equal knowledge of "who's who" ! And it is not unknown for even the great & the good in any of our countries to get it wrong sometimes, is it ? Which is why I deliberately wasn't coming out on one side, or the other.

Handmutter: Not sure what you mean by that last post. I corrected (literally a minute after the post) a grammatical error of "fierce internationally competitor" (correct grammar is important) to "fierce international competitor".

That's it. Please, if you have an issue, please PM me so as not to clog up the boards. Thank you.

As the original poster I find it simply ironic that all these 1st time members/posters come out and cheer for Schair- how would they even know about the post UNLESS some one told them to give him a boost- Also they all use code names!
I will end with this- ALL IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT IT MAY SEEM- LOOK A LITTLE DEEPER!

I know neither party personally but as a breeder if I were to sell a dog "as is" and tell the buyer the dog has one testicle down and give no guarantees on health, I would not expect the buyer to come back to me with his bills for fixing the testicle problem or for any other health problems. AS IS means AS IS. You have no guarantee. So enjoy your dog or sell it but the seller in my opinion does not owe the buyer anything but condolences on he extra expense. Buyer should also know better than to house several males together and expect peace and harmony right off the bat. I acclimate my dogs very slowly (6 mos at times) before I trust them together and even then I supervise their time together. It amazes me that people think a dog is going to be perfect when they never are no matter how much you spend on purchasing them. They are dogs. They are not perfect just like humans are not perfect either!

I beg your pardon BUT you do not have the facts nor am I going to repeat them as I and the seller truthfully know.

I had a dog meet off premises in a park with the new 12 month old and one of my males. He was supposed to be dog friendly. Both of my males who are 1 year apart live in the house together with a female since they are pups. There is a strict pack order and I am the leader. They are not dog aggressive in any way unless SOMEONE OR ANOTHER DOG COMES ON TO THEM. They are gsds.
I can take all 3 to a dog park.

Purchased the most amazing dog I have ever owned from Mr. Schair in January 2017. Cannot express how reliable and honest Mr. Schair is and am very disturbed by the slanderous allegations against a man so honorable. This user should be banned.

As neither party has shown proof of anything for either side this is nothing more that a he said he said.

Both parties have stated they have done business together that is all we really know we do not know if one person or the other is right or if either is so we don't know that there is any slander, thus no reason to ban a person so every one quit telling us to do so.
