I have a question. Is it better to feed German shepards raw meat or dry foods?

I use dry food with some lightly cooked hamburger mixed in. My dogs prefer it cooked. I used to mix in chopped hot dogs sometimes too but it seems that the burger is better for them. There was a TV show on National Geographic channel about a dog musher (sled dogs) and he fed his dogs blocks of frozen raw hamburger tossed into a bucket of warm water.

There is no general answer to your question.
It really is up to your preferences and your ability to store and prepare food.

However, to any kibble on earth I feel you can safely add some meat either raw or slightly cooked,  none of the kibbles have that much meat in them.  Tally ho  Nan

I add rarely cooked meat parts into kibble.

This is actually a very economic arrangement and is also good for the owner and the dog.

It goes like "fatty for you and lean for me". The owner eats only the leanness part of any meat.

Say for surloin steak, I remove the skin outside and the fat from inside. All white fat bits are removed.

For whole chicken I eat only the drum sticks and the breast meat.
