I feed Orijen. The same company also makes Acana which has a few grain free varieties available

I have been feeding Avoderm (which someone said is made by the same outfit that makes Acana).

It is expensive.

If I feed dry, I feed Fromms Gold.  Would never again use any product manufactued at any Diamond plant or any other large plant or any plant that uses products sourced in China

i finally bit the bullet and put everybody on orijen.  i believe it to be the best kibble hands-down.  my dogs do get some raw as well.  the orijen red and orijen fish are my favorites.  some dogs will do well on another kibble.  mine don't.  i just got tired of keeping track of recalls and worrying about ingredients.  diamond foods have had way too many problems over a long period of time for me to put my trust in them.  i gave them several chances and the result was always the same ---- dogs would do fine for a while and then one bag or one batch was a complete disaster.  i guess you have to use what works for you, but diamond is a dirty word at this house.

I just found and switched my three dogs to "back to basics" and so far I am very happy with the results.

I still feed Diamond Large Breed Naturals-will continue to do so-but I keep very close track of Production Codes and where the feed is produced as does the farm dealers where I purchase my feed-fortunately they do not buy out of the Carolinas.

My opinion of Avoderm is it is just guacamole bread, no offense, the ingredients do not seem right for a dog.

I continue to feed Diamond Premium adult, and their puppy, and have for almost 20 years.  I've never had a drop of trouble with my dogs on it, and as a matter of fact have had several dog handlers and vets ask me what I feed, complimenting on the coat/condition of my dogs. So until I see a problem, I will continue to feed it.  I believe in the ole term, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"  and my dogs look/act EXCELLENT.

Used to feed Nature's Domain salmon and sweet potato from Costco (made by Diamond) but switched to a grain and potato free food called Nurtrisca about 5 weeks ago.  It is more expensive but my dogs love it and are doing great.

CMills thanks for that post i love the 4health and only had great results, but when it was recalled i got scared and i didnt want my dogs to get sick, even though they never showed any signs of illness. and one of my males only had to be fed 2 cups a day to maintain his weight and he looked great. I think when this bag of iams is gone i will be going back to 4health.

Good for you lil foot!  People tend to freak out if anythng changes.  I've used Diamond for many years, never a drop of trouble, dogs lived into their mid-teens, have great coats and weight, and best of all, they LOVE it, and eat great.  That's half the battle!

My Huskies are on 4Health Salmon and have done better on it than most any other food they've ever been on.

Many people feed Taste of the Wild, Kirklands or Nature's Domain......these are all made by Diamond.

Nowadays I keep my dogs to a mostly raw/lightly home-cooked diet, but I do occasionally feed kibble still, and my father (who lives with me) still feeds his dogs a mostly kibble diet (because he's too impatient to deal with homemade food.)  We still choose TOTW or Kirkland's chicken and rice for kibble.

I still feed diamond and have been watching codes on each bag to make sure that my guy's don't get affected food. you all have to realize that diamond produces many high end foods also

Still feeding TOTW. I am on the West coast, keep my eyes open for recalls, but so far all the crap has been out of the East coast production plants.
