World Universal Sieger - Slovenia

The conformation portion of the Universal Sieger competition was today and I heard Zambo came in 2nd place.
A very good position to be in going into the trial stages over the next several days.
I do not have any information on any of the other competitors from the USA team.
Please post if you have any info.

Good showing so far. The USA had 3 dogs in the top 10. Germany had one more.

Nice results.
My pups father got the firts place at confirmation. Hopefully he will do well in the working phase too.

VA Zambo vom Reidschlurgi Sch3, IPO3  and Erin O'Shea have won the World Universal Seiger title for a 2nd year.

Congrats to Erin and Zambo and they won by a substantial margin too with excellent trial scores.
3 dogs in the top 7 from the USA.
Congrats to Katharina and Crok (5th place), Kevin and Vandal (7th place) and the whole team.
Looks like the Universal competition is becoming a specialty of the USA dog teams.
Way to go.

Zambo turned in an absolutely dominating performance finishing first in show and second in trial. It is difficult to imagine a dog EVER topping that performance in this type of competition. Big Kudos to Erin and Zambo... Kevin Nance

Awesome job Team USA!!! Can't wait for you to get back home to hug you and your dogs!!! Kevin you and Vandal did great also. Was Ballack elimated from 1st place in the show because of his failure in on the track? Have not heard how the team placings went? I can see Team USA Had 3 in the top 10 and 5 in the top 13!!! SUPER JOB!!

91 Tracking
96 Obedience (high in trial)
96 Protection 
2 nd in conformaiton behind Ballack zur Worringer Rheinaue

That's how it WAS.... Now, on the official site it lists Zambo as #1 in conformation. Ballack is on top but there is no number by his name.

Ballack came in first in conformaiton, but didn't finish the rest of the trial.

Zambo is #1 for the second year in a row.

Elle Rallhaus is a Zambo Daughter who won VP1 at the USA SS...... How I wish I would have kept her! I promised Erin a female out of the Honey x Zambo litter and there was only one........
Can't go back on a promise. She is the whole package - VA potential and the drives of Zambo!

Ballack has the rest of the trial scores up! He got 25 A 78 B and 93 C. Follow the link in the beginning of this thread to the show results and you will see in the last column that says Placings... Ballack has no number and Zambo has #1

Ballack was placed first in conformation initially. However, to hold that placing a competitor must also pass the trial portion. Thus, when Ballack failed tracking, Zambo moved up to V1. Kevin Nance

And, Team USA finished with 3 out of the top 7 placings; Zambo was 1st, Crok was 5th, and Vandal was 7th. Vandal lost 7 points on the scaling wall and stepped an article ending his podium run. Zambo, on the other hand, finished without any big mistakes and a VERY NICE IPO score of 283. His obedience was as fine as I've seen at any level and a sheer joy to watch. He had an awesome performance and a well deserved win by ANY criteria. Kevin

That's what I wanted to know. Sorry about Vandal's mistakes. I'm sure he'll do better next time! I can tell you that Mike Diehl had a BIG smile on his face yesterday with your score of 96 protection!
