On 20th and 21st October yet another exciting and ground breaking development for the breed gets under way when the German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain National IPO Championships and the German Shepherd Dog League of GB Regional Show are held simultaneously at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.  Over these 2 days you will be able to see what the German Shepherd Dog is capable of from a working perspective, with up to 20 dogs having to qualify to compete at the Nationals, and see the beauty of the breed in motion at the Regional Show.  Both of these events are held under WUSV (World Union of GSDs) rules, which focus on the health and working ability of our breed.
A series of qualifying IPO events throughout the country will have taken place and the top performers at these events will be invited to compete for the Premier IPO Award in the country on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October.  All 3 phases of IPO (Tracking – for competitors only, Control & Protection) will be rigorously tested by the respected SV Judge, Herr   Peter Schwarz, and  watched by the many lovers of the Sport in the Grand Arena at Malvern.
On Sunday 21st the German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain Regional Show will take place, alongside the Control & Protection Phases of the Nationals. The  Judges for the Regional Show have yet to be confirmed.
All dogs entered at both events will have to be permanently identifiable, and all Breed Entrants above 18 months old will have been health tested and achieved a mandatory level.  Off lead gaiting will be required for the Working Class entrants, who must all have achieved an SV Koerung.  We look forward to seeing all GSD enthusiasts at this exciting and innovative event.

Thank you for all the messages of support.  I think many people are genuinely interested in watching both sides of the breed at the same venue.
